I think there is excellent talent... just not generational...
Future Gretzky's playing Call of Duty instead.... ?
I wonder...
That and American born players.
Counter Strike
LOL, Canadians need refs to help them out.
Same reason you guys "needed "Brett Hull, freedom of choice.Cal Foote from Colorado, why you guys need American boys on the team?
Just looked at the rankings, Canada barely has players ranked in the top10... just an odd weak year or is this a new trend, canada doesn't produce as good talent as they used to?
Future Gretzkys can't afford $15k per year to play high level hockey.
The thing is, every time it’s not a Canadian #1 it’s a big deal. That’s changing as other countries get better. So the fact that the past few years we’ve only been dominating the draft instead of obliterating it is taken to mean that other countries are passing us5 Canadians went in the top 10 of the 2017 NHL draft,
- Nolan Patrick 2nd,
- Cale Makar 4th,
- Cody Glass 6th,
- Michael Rasmussen 9th
- Owen Tippet 10th.
For arguments sake Gabe Vailardi went 11th.
This compared to 2 Swedes, 1 Finn and 1 Swiss and 1 American. Based on that Canada still appears to be producing more than everyone else. So I don't see your point.
If the refs can't be unbiased in game's with canada and usa, it's time to suspend them from international turnaments

Goal.No goal
It's an expensive sport everywhere, but Canada is the only top 6 country where the participation numbers are decreasing.And... sadly you are right...
Another obstacle in Canada is just affording to play...
True...
