Looks like people made the right choice to stay home for this game. Not worth the price of admission.

The feeling I get is that the Americans may very well overtake Canada as the main source; the mother-load of high end talent.

Sure bud

Let's take a look at the 2017 1st round NHL draft

I don't think that's what he meant I think he means the Matthews Middlestadt type guys. Canada's team this year wasn't nearly as dynamic as in recent years

"Hard to remember a 17 year old defenseman being an impact player in this tournament"

Hedman was an all-star pick in his D-1 season as a 16 year old.

Which is surprising given the much more fertile bedrock of Canada. It is my impression there are more junior players in Canada by far for example.

Europeans used to kind of laugh at American hockey-players (I am exaggerating) and reserve the genuine respect for the Canadians. Everyone knew they were the best .. by far.

But now .. not sure.
A sober wiev looking at talent is per capita so Sweden is by far the greatest hockey federation. Per Capita. Not anything else. Canada id line 60 mill swden is like 9 mill

Thank God Woll's looked a lot sharper today than in previous games. He's had to come up big a few times today.
