How do coach challenges work? Why couldn't Slovakia challenge that goal and have it reviewed? It was a clear offside for the goal scorer prior to the goal.

Edit: I just googled it. Seems like it is coming to international tournaments later starting from the Olympic Games. That's a pitty, thought it was a norm already.

There are no coaches challenges in IIHF. They only review the regular goal stuff like kicked in, high stick, was the puck in, net off, and such. Not offside.

That's a good excuse for today but the TV guy kept talking about how it waa the the first period when we were playing second against Finland last night.

How is that not a penalty on Wejse?

I thought that a hit to the head was automatic 5 min penalty at IIHF events and it looked to me like Smolka was hit into the head.

I very much doubt it. We dont have anything with offensive qualities this year. If it was 1 game, then perhaps we could get superlucky with some goals and Belarus being superbad. Over two games I would say it is game over. I hope I am wrong though.

There should be a suspension for that head shot. The Slovakian trainer should also be fired.

Slovakia continuing to play above their level and Denmark keeps playing below it, pretty surprised at the Danes in this event, they've not just finished last in their group, they did so with authority, now they could get relegated.
