For those that were asking the question, it wasn't an interference penalty because it was an open battle for the puck. Nobody had possession, so they can make contact to win the puck. If a fellow Slovak had the puck and Bean was trying to check him, the guy can't hit Bean off his feet.

It was an incredibly dangerous hit.

It wasn't just a back and forth battle. He shoved Bean 10 feet from the boards without the puck.

It’s a damp cold not at all like that dry air you call cold in Winnipeg. No different than dry heat is way more tolerable than steamy jungle heat.

Very true I moved from south of Calgary to the Ottawa region and its a different type of cold and hot. You feel it a lot more with the humidity.

Jeff O'Neill is one of the worst sports reporters I've ever seen and the biggest Leafs homer there is. This is a battle for the puck gone wrong at most an interference penalty, a 5 min is way to harsh.
