Team Finland played bad today and I hope this works as a wake-up call. Team Canada used its scoring chances very well and Hart was good.

Congratulations. I hope that we will get a rematch in this tournament - preferably in the final game.

Good game by Canada, not so good from Finland but losing against Canada? Meh, good to take that loss at this point. Hopefully next game will be better, and if we meet Canada again we will be sharper that time.

Also maybe the bad luck ends here? I'm not worried about this yet.

Bad game from us, horrible two gift goals from us to canada. I think we are close enough that we can win them once in this tourney

Oh yeah for sure. Canada didn't do anything special today but Finland wasn't great either. No reason to worry, except for that video ref. He needs to be cut from these games and that profession.

Finn fans are the only fans I know whose team gets double the power plays as the opponent...and still claims they were screwed by the refs.

This was one of the worst officiated games I’ve ever seen

It was pretty bad, not just the poor call on the 1st goal, but super inconsistent throughout the game. However, I've seen LOTS of similarly bad officiating in the WJCs over the years.

I love this tourney, but the quality of the officiating is often poor. Makes you appreciate NHL refs - as controversial as NHL refs can be, they're an order of magnitude better than what we see in the WJCs.

Canada needs to tighten up a lot, especially the sloppy moving of the puck out of the zone. Goaltending was very solid.

Better team won, laughable number of people that don't know the rules in here. The puck clearly didn't cross the line and was played cleanly.

Finland didn't deserve to win. They played sloppy and didn't capitalize from the few places they had.

If blaming refs makes you feel better then go right ahead, you just look like a moron while doing it.

The first goal might have something to do with that. We did get screwed by the refs. Then for compensation Canada got screwed by the refs. Let's hope we see some better officiating as we go on to more important games.

Finland has many times in ball games (you select the sport) been a team that is a better team but scores less -> A lot of "what ifs" follows automatically.

Anyways, a bit of a sloppy game that could've gone either way. Canada is always tough, but neither team looked good this time. Finns were also a bit unlucky (with the goal calls etc.). I still have faith for the tournament though, too much talent in this team to just fold over.

Great win for Canada. 4-2. Controversial first goal, so it's good we won by 2 goals to put to bed any conspiracy theories. Canada outshoots Finland 32-31. Was a good game, but Canada was the better team today.

You're forgetting Finnish 3rd goal.

Tie in my book, in how they played. Good close game decided by two awful mistakes by video ref.

Just wait for the gif of that disallowed goal and you'll see it was over the line.
