Pretty good game from Finland considering that their game is mess while playing against canada in small rink.

So both the first goal and that no goal are already canonized in the Canadian collective psyche as non-controversial, unwavering and solid as granite?
Canada's first goal was a bad call by the refs, should have been a no-goal. But they made the right call on the Foote play, the puck never crossed the line, and what Foote did is perfectly legal (batted the puck away with his hand, never covered the puck or closed his hand over it).

I get why Finnish fans are frustrated, that was a very bad call on the first goal, classic terrible IIHF officiating. But since then, I'd say the Finns have gotten the advantage - the refs have let them get away with some blatant penalties, and called some really weak ones against Canada.

That first goal shouldn't have counted, but Finland have been outplayed.

Where did I say that? I don't think the first goal should have counted but it doesn't matter when you're down even if you take that goal away. Finland has had more than enough opportunities to tie or lead this game.
Just wanted to clear that first part, obviously we're the losing team here and CAN deserves the win.

The reality is that if Finland can not overcome one bad call, they don’t deserve to win.

What about your weak defence effort?
What about your flaccid power play?
What about the poor cycle game and lack of backchecking?

The Finns are not behind because of the refs. They are playing slow and below their ability.

The Finnish commentator was plain wrong on the Finnish no-goal and he insisted that batting the puck away from the crease is not allowed, and that seems to have confused many Finns. Don't be too hard on them.
