What Foote did was legal and it was the right call all around.

No need to slam the refs for actually getting it right.

No way that was legal. With the stick or skate it should have been. Inside the crease a defender cant save a goal with his hands or its a penaltyshot.

Finland with another PP. AT what point do you stop talking about the first Canada goal and start talking about Finland's terrible goaltending and pwoerplay?

Guess we can just deflect from those other points?

HF never ceases to amaze me on how little they know about hockey. Holy. No goal and not a penalty.
To be honest, the game is riddled with debatable rules and some rules don't follow common sense like the 'it's not a goal is knocked off the moorings before the puck crosses the line'. It's easy to misinterpret or just blatantly not know about a rule.

That's not the rule, you can play the puck with your hand, you just cannot close your hand over the puck, which Foote did not.

I thought those were the main points the intelligent posters were talking about the whole game? Of course in addition to our spotty D.

At least I'm mostly blaming bad luck for score being 4-2 not 3-3. Doesn't mean that better playing wouldn't have helped, but in my opinion Finland has had very bad luck in two cases here.
