I guess i can understand this, win by every means?

Funny how people are pointint out that the ref is russian, when video ref is canadian, haha.

Why is comtois on the team? Not based on talent or merit. Just to be politically correct, they needed a francophone in the team to avoid a riot in la Belle Province!:thumbu:

Can't wait for the next stage of this thread after that horrid call on Canada's first goal, where Canadians point to every marginal grazing of a Canadian player and say, "See! We aren't getting calls, either!!!!"

Maybe capitalize on your PP chances?

This is the rule regarding that goal if anyone is interested:

RULE 98 – SCORING A GOAL/GOAL FRAME OFF
i. If a defending player displaces his own goal frame and the opposing team scores a goal, the goal will be allowed provided:
1. The opponent was in the act of shooting prior to the goal frame being displaced;
2. The referee determines the puck would have entered the goal net had the goal frame been in its normal position.

I'd have to see the replay, but I wonder if the refs are suggesting that the Defense pushed Canada into the net, displacing it.

Basing 1st period Finland's hyped defence has been really far away of being tournament's best.
If you want examples look that Canada's powerplay goal

Heponiemi, the man who's name means in finnish "the horse bay"

Exactly like Can did the #2

Hepoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!.

Hopefully this wakes the team up, been a very very weak start after a questionable call.
