I don't expect Zetterberg or the Sedins to be playing at 37. Kronwall might be, but I presume that if he is, he will have declined to the point where younger players will be better than him.
Our defence will be even better than it was this year in 2018, on the other hand I am very worried about our forwards. Plenty of depth guys but right now it doesn't look like we'll have the impact forwards we've had in the past, particularly at centre. We really need a new Sundin-like prospect to show up, and that better be soon.
Your Team Canada roster is really ambitious. You have four guys as locks for the team who have never played a single NHL game, three of which aren't even DRAFTED yet.
Historically TC has shied away from the very young players, even the studs

With 3 of the 4 likely playing in the NHL next season they will have 4 years and McDavid will have 3 which I think is enough time.

It's fun to think about guys like Ekblad and McDavid turning into stars and making the team. I really hope they do become that great but it's the guys who are 21-24 years old right now who will make the biggest leap over the next 4 years. I expect guys like O'Reilly, Hall, Seguin, Skinner and RNH to take leaps and bounds to become some of Canada's best over the next few years.Hall Tavares Stamkos

I guess nobody here on Hfboards payed much attention...We do need size up front, and this lineup above will not win...great talent but will not win...
there will be some locks but some other BIG forwards will need to step up
Who will replace these Big guys...we cannot win without big fast skaters...

Czech roster will definitely look somewhat decent (with Jagr again maybe? .
). But what Czech team need the most are two things. First, number one goalie that can steal a game or two and be solid in the rest of the games (Mrázek maybe?). Second, competent coach with competent coaching staff... here I have no idea how it should be done right now but I will hope.

I've got a feeling Dougie Hamilton cracks the 2018 team, I like the Ekblad pick as well. He will be 1 year older than Doughty was when he was outstanding in 2010 if I'm not mistaken.
Lots of righties on D though. I wonder if pros go to 2018 if they'll snub some studs to bring lefties along.

All those players can play in the corners especially Hall Mackinnon and couture all the players other than Drouin ill be good on the defensive end by 2018
You think Patrik Berglund will be our second best center in 2018? Thats a very very pessimistic prediction..
