Id be pretty okay with the flyers first round. Love Kravtsov. Kupari is someone who I think would be a target of the flyers

I’d be pissed if the Sharks draft Sandin. They should be taking someone like McIsaac if they want a D or Wise or even Lauko if they want a F.

Sharks suck at drafting
They really aren’t that bad. They just don’t take the high risk players in the first round. Their later round drafting is great though. But I mean look at how many players on their current roster are their picks. Pavelski, Couture, Hertl, Tierney, Labanc, Meier, Vlasic, Braun, DeMelo, Ryan.

I find Sandin quite underrated, he has played very well in the OHL Playoffs so far, while McIsaac has been a slight but below average in the QMJHL Playoffs. I’ve started to really like Sandin, while I’ve started to dislike McIsaac more and more now, I have a hard time seeing him going top 25, unless a team like Toronto or another team that needs D has a pick in that area. I also think that Sandin fits in with San Jose not then McIsaac would.

Is this your predictions as how draft will go, or how you'd rank the players right now?

What really strikes me are three things:

1) No Ryan Merkely in the first round! He's taking it on the chin - wonder if that would drive the point home to him, namely get a grip on your D game?
2) Dominik Bokk at top 15 - what a nice climb for the kid.
3) Tychonick in the first round - a bit of a reach in my books.

Thanks for the list - always fun to see what other people are thinking.

I think Tychonick over Merkley is a very common opinion. Although defense is a huge problem for Merkley the bigger issue is work ethic

Merkley is this year's DeAngelo. I could see him being a big Faller. I can also see teams falling in love with his undeniable skill.

The differences between DeAngelo and Merkley are pretty much:
- DeAngelo tries, and is coachable
- Merkley isn't a racist

Well I just meant major attitude red flags...I wasn't getting that specific lol

Rangera go Farabee over Kotkaniemi. Kotkaniemi's skating wont pass the scouting departments eye test. Cant complain yoo much about the late picks.

I don’t like Merkley at all. I would not be shocked to see him outside of the top 50 on draft day, his defence is the main problem, but he seems to always make some dumb mistakes with the puck whenever I get the chance watch him

Bokk has had a very good year, playing in the SHL as a draft eligible will really improve anyone’s stock, like Lundkvist this year as well

Tychonick to me is a late first rounder/early second rounder. He’s had a very solid year this season

Idk if the Panthers really need another forward to their system even though Bokk would be an excellent choice. I think they really need defensive prospects, a guy like Bode Wilde, Jared McIsaac would be solid at 14, or even take a leap and take Nils Lundkvist or Rasmus Sandin with the 14th.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Panthers do go with a defenceman, but whenever I watch Florida, they always seem to be rolling the Barkov/Trocheck lines, so I figured that they could use some more immediate forward help

I want to start a thread where everyone predicts where Merkely goes on draft day - how do I start a new thread?/
