But this is hockey, where we have video technolgy. Why on earth an overturned goal during game cannot be challenged to be reviewed by the video ref. It makes no sense.

Yes we are proud of Slovakia being a equal opponent to Finland after a long time, where they legitimetaly should have not lost. So it is a very sour loss.

I have to say this.
I'm only proud of that Slovakia has finally a legit U18 national team which can produce quality players for Slovakia's men's national team and Hrehorcak is one example.

Also it's good to see that there's some light end of tunnel in Slovakian hockey.
Yeah coach's challenge would be good add to international hockey as well.

But is IIHF able to make decisions to bring that challenge international level before next years winter Olympic games that's the question.
Example Finnish Elite Hockey league started using coach's challenge in questionable goal situations this springs playoffs.

Coach's challenge is a must. Hockey is almost a perfect sport, very little unfair plays compared to other collective sports, almost nonexistant diving, and outside of penalty decisions, goal situations can be always legit if coach's challenge is a thing.

Do you see Hrehorcak has chances to make Slovakia's men's world championships team this year?.
He won't probably get big role but i can see him being 13th forward if he makes in the team

Of course the competition of roster spots on that tournament is hard and Slovakia has good players in European leagues example Michel Miklik who plays JYP's FEL team.

I doubt it. He won't probably get a shot at senior team until he joins U21s. Last time an U18 player got a chance on seniors in Slovakia, his name was Satan if I recall correctly.

OK thanks anyway.
Good to see Slovakia coming back and being legitimate opponent for Finland.

But you guys have long journey ahead before you have chance to challenge or win other top hockey countries like Canada,USA, Russia and Sweden.
I wish good luck for Slovakian team and hopefully we'll see Slovakia in quarterfinals.

This is for them an exceptional team. We all know that the hockey is in crisis and more years back are not nearly as good. But this is a really good team and it is a candidate for a medal.

Are the Slovaks good or are the Finns a bit overrated perhaps?

Looking at draft rankings, there are 8-10 Finish names mentioned around top 30-45. I am a bit sceptical about that to be honest.

Have you counted how many of them are playing on our team? Three on this moment.(Heiskanen,Luukkonen and Vesalainen). Its excepted that yet Nyman(not on top45), Jokiharju and Vaakanainen or Räsänen(not on top45) will come to team. Välimäki and Salo are overagers and Tolvanen is not available. Also Heponiemi and Moilanen which ones would be our teams top6 forwards are not available.

Slovaks have a good team this year, while Finns were missing Tolvanen, Heponiemi, Nyman, Moilanen, Vaakanainen, Jokiharju, Räsänen and Vesterinen from their best possible line-up due to USHL/WHL/OHL/QMJHL/Liiga play-offs.

Heiskanen, Tolvanen, Vesalainen and Välimäki are likely to go in the 1st round. Jokiharju, Vaakanainen, Heponiemi, Luukkonen, Räsänen, Ikonen and Salo aren't far behind, maybe 2nd or 3rd round for them. This could be the best draft year for Finns ever.

The sretcher comes in or... Redicolous. No force on that cross check. Second embellishment from chech this game. And they getting the calls
