I'm a bit skeptical about the invitations of Soderberg and Edler. I feel better centers and defensemen are about to become available. Aside from the obvious names being mentioned, I think William Karlsson would be another good addition. Can Soderberg play wing?

Honestly I sorta felt like edler was the missing physical link we would have needed on defense in the world cup so I'm actually excited to see what he'll bring

Haven't seen Edler this season but he's usually a quality D-man, definitely won't find anyone of his caliber in Europe. Söderberg can play on the wing.

I do like Edler, and I wasn't suggesting any European based players should be on the team over him. I was refering to Brodin and Hjalmarsson about to become available, while OEL is still a possibility. Not to mention Boston should have a decent chance to turn things around against Ottawa still, and thus make Karlsson available.

I agree with EK47 though. He brings up a good point. Edler can punish opposing forwards, and thus bring an element the rest of the defensive group is lacking.

With OEL in the D looks absolutely stacked, we're probably only missing Karlsson and Hjalmarsson from the very best we can have (I would probably argue H. Lindholm over Edler, but that is debatable).

Not super comfortable with the goalies. Not convinced Läck is any better than Fasth or Svedberg, but with the stellar D it might be ok.

Think we're missing a really game breaking forward, but we don't really have that many. Bäckström or Nylander would be a huge boost to this team. I'm quite sure Wennberg will join once the Pens finish off the Jackets.

While, Brodin is a decent player, the only aspect of the game which he has a significant edge on Hjalmarsson is skating, of which we already have plenty, now Larsson on the other hand is quite close to Hjalmarsson defensively and brings a lot more physicality while also being a righty. So Larsson would be my prefered choice and Hjalmarsson would be my second choice klefbom my 3rd choice and Brodin a distant 4th. Because Karlsson is already playing injured. Wont be mad with either though all very good additions.

He'll be fine killing penalties, be a leader, and all that stuff of course.

I can't remember the last time we had a full tournament to play with so many NHLers before the championship. I vaguely remember a few here and there most seasons but the bulk of them usually drop in the day before or a few days in.
