Hmmm

in SHL no better players then "Nordström - Lindberg - Fast" ?:amazed:

Joel Lundqvist from Frölunda might be an option for the 4th line and Lindblom from Brynäs has been amazing but I'm not sure if neither of them are better than the NHL players.

Lundqvist is too slow for WC-pace. I would prefer Fast over Lindblom.

It's a checking line so maybe everberg could slot in

Everberg is lazy. Players who work hard every second should be on checking line.

Möller - Sundström - Lindström

But as a 4th line it would not be a nice fit.

Maybe you can play "total hockey" like the NA-U23 in the World Cup and Canada in the latest international tournaments.

I agree about J.Lundqvist but it'd be a crime if we wont see Lindblom at the World Championships. That tournament is made for him.

Dahlin chances would have been small either way, but with so many good NHL d-men, there is basically no chance for him to make the final team. But it sure is fun to see what he can do and it will bring attention to the games.

Ok, thanks. So it seems that OEL is unknown as of now.

Curious to know what is taking so long with Landeskog and Söderberg, especially considering how several Colorado players have already been confirmed for Canada.

Don't expect to hear anything about him until the tournament gets much closer. The federation is not going to push him for an answer until they absolutely need to.
True, I completely understand. Terrible what happened to him.

NHL Playoffs standings right now:

Washington (+33) (Bäckström, Johansson, Burakovsky) ---- Toronto (+13) (Nylander) 3 - 2

Pittsburgh (+28) (Hörnqvist, Hagelin) ---- Columbus (+29) (Wennberg, Karlsson) 4 - 1

Montreal (+20) (de la Rose) ---- NY Rangers (+20) (Lundqvist, Hellberg, Zibanejad, Lindberg, Fast) 2 - 3

Ottawa (+15) (Karlsson, Claesson, Englund, Stålberg) ---- Boston (+11) (Blidh) 3 - 2

Chicago (+29) (Hjalmarsson, Oduya, Forsling, Krüger, Rasmussen) ---- Nashville (+12) (Ekholm, Forsberg, Järnkrok, Arvidson) 0 - 4

Minnesota (+21) (Brodin, Folin, Eriksson Ek) ---- St. Louis (+14) (Gunnarsson, Berglund, Steen, Pääjärvi) 1 - 3

Anaheim (+19) (Enroth, Lindholm, Silfverberg, Rakell) ---- Calgary (+14) (Backlund) 4 - 0

Edmonton (+18) (Gustavsson, Klefbom, Larsson, Lander) ---- San Jose (+15) (Karlsson, Sörensen, Heed) 3 - 2

Can someone post a picture of Hawaii or Polynesia here?

Great additions although I have no idea why you would lock a spot up on a fringe player like Nordström this early that's just stupid IMO

Last season Nordstrom scored at close to a 30 point pace and was seeing 15.37 minutes/game, often playing with Jordan Staal. Very few, if any, of our European based players could handle that role in the best league in the world.

With the additions of guys like Aho and Teravainen, Nordstrom played a smaller role with the Canes this season. But I think he'll fit in nicely on the Swedish team, either on the 3rd/4th line or on a line with Rask & Lindholm. Speedy winger who can jump up and down the lineup, and be valuable to the PK.

I just don't understand why Landeskog and Söderberg are on hold. Either you're in or you're not. One phonecall.

Happy for the Nashville guys even though I would've liked to see them here. Wennberg and Backlund would be perfect.

I'm a bit skeptical about the invitations of Soderberg and Edler. I feel better centers and defensemen are about to become available. Aside from the obvious names being mentioned, I think William Karlsson would be another good addition. Can Soderberg play wing?
