WC: 2017 Team Sweden

I really hope Grönborg will invite Fast, Pääjärvi and Lindberg....this is a worst case scenario....but honestly, all 3 of them would bring something, they could form a line together and bring some nice hustle and underrated skills.....W.Karlsson, Nordström and C.Klingberg is zombies......for sure Fast, Pääjärvi and Lindberg would bring more....we need new energy....

I'm just going to presume Bäckström and Johansson are declines. I can't imagine anyone finding much motivation after having gone through the last few seasons the Caps have had.
 
Unfortunately not a single goalscorer was eliminated. Well, Burakovsky kinda but he's not developed into that yet at this level. Lundqvist & Bäckström were the two best players remaining in the playoffs outside of EK though, so let's see about them.

Burakovsky could easily replace on of our current guys though? Burakovsky is still streaky, up and down but a true game changer.

Ok, I am kind of negative to WC in general (because of not all the best players being able to participate) but it would be fun with some more Swedish stars and then winning this tournament.

It's extremely important for all the young players in Sweden too, the next generation, they need role models. The defense looking absolutely fantastic, with Lundqvist and some more forwards we may be able to dominate. Only question mark is how well our NHLers will play and adopt to the big ice though (and the soft officiating).

WTF is up with the Oilers leadership is all I say. Worthless in all aspects.
 
I like your teams except Söderberg, I simply don't have faith in him this season and looking too slow, he is not playing with passion out there, hopefully I am wrong though.

Sweden do have a great defense already but I would have liked Larsson & Klefbom, would balance the defence in a perfect way. Larsson is very good in the defensive game and physical, world class shutdown defenseman, right now Larsson is ahead of most defensemen in Sweden in the defensive part of the game. Klefbom with one of the more powerful slapshots in the world would be nice too but I don't know if he is healthy?

Start looking at 00:40 to understand the true power and capacity of Klefbom.

Sorry, what has the Oilers leadership done? I figure it would be a bit too soon to know if Larsson/Klefbom can/are interested in joining.

To be fair, I have a hard time seeing either of them (preferably Larsson) joining late in the tournament to be a number 6/7 guy. He should clearly be playing with OEL in this lineup and push Edler down to 7, but I dont think the management will do that to Alex. No point in pissing off a Edler that constantly answers the call for a small upgrade in Larsson. Bringing in Holm as a non-threatning reserve makes "sense" in that regard.
