I read that Nylander is playing with Karlsson and Soderberg?

Why?

He had more points than both of them combined... Almost double in fact. He should be on a scoring line. He had more points than any other forward on the team.

Watching him today I felt more sorry for his linemates.

What's with thr swedish dislike or Nylander? Turnovers = not a team player? What? Sorry the most skilled player on the team is trying to make plays. Not to mention hus line was used as a matchup line vs Russias #1 and Nylander was playing center by the end of it.

I wish Eriksson Ek and Nylander would play on the same line.

A. Nylander and Ek tore it up at World Juniors. Maybe W. Nylander and Ek could too. Sometimes the youngest players can get chemistry right away. They're both players that can think outside of the box, so I'd like to see them together just for one game

To be fair, there are only like 3-4 players in total on the team that slot naturally in on a scoring line, Nylander is just the odd one out while the other three play together.

To be honest, he wasnt good. He will get better and dominate in the end. :yo:

Well, considering he had more points than any other forward on the team I don't think he should be the odd one out.

I get wanting to have some scoring depth though... But when you have Soderberg and Karlsson on a 2nd line the best thing to do is probably load a line.

Nylander was actually decent in the first period, saved a goal aswell with a good backcheck. But was trying to make too fancy plays later on for a game of this kind. On the other hand if he wins the game in OT he's the hero, so..

Honestly though I thought we were alright, it was a tight game. Russia's the co-favorite with Sweden and Canada I think so a penalty loss is not the end of the world. Overspeculating that it might cost the group win is pointless. If we get better and better and finish 2nd so be it, peaking at the right time is everything.

Plus to Edler and Brodin. They are considered the depth Ds of the team.. well that's pretty good.

Edler

When Alex Edler is a new contending team you get a revitalized player, ala Burrows on Sens. (if Edler is dealt)

First thing they need to do is move Karlsson of that line he just isn't skilled enough to play the role he is being asked he will do just fine with Krüger and Eriksson Ek. Im also conviced that Omark will do better as soon as they put him in a role he's better suited for i.e with Söderberg and Nylander

yeah, karlsson has not been impressing so far. problem is also with him is that he is not hardworking or gritty, i dont see him as a fit for bottom 6. mario kempe should have got his spot.

Would love to see Eriksson Ek get more minutes on a line with Nylander.

It's a bit surprising to me that they play William Karlsson on the wing. He's purely a centre and I seem to remember he was put on the wing with the national team before and not doing well at all.

Assuming Capitals, Ottawa, Edmonton and St.Louis gets out.

Klefbom, Larsson and Karlsson - we already have 6 quality NHLers Dmans - will that stop Grönborg from add any of them? I guess so. Steen and Bäckström will decline.

We can hope for Johansson, Berglund and Burakovsky.

Hedman - Strålman
Brodin - Klingberg
OEL - Edler
Rosen

Landeskog - Rask - Lindholm
Johansson - Berglund - Burakovsky
Omark - Söderberg - Nylander
4th line

If Edmonton goes which I think, I am hoping for Larsson which would give us two really intimidating physical defensemen

One of him and Edler would be the 7th D.

If Edler continues to plays well there is no reason at all to put him as 7 - play the hot hand.

In Sochi (iirc) Edler played himself up to 1st pairing with Karlsson after the first constellation with OEL-Karlsson had shown no chemistry.
