WC: 2017 Team Sweden

yeah it would be a gamble. but if we are not going to gamble, then rosen and holm will be in and only 2 more forwards can get added and hopefully Lundqvist:

Steen - Bäckström - Nylander
Landeskog - Rask - Lindholm
Omark - Söderberg - Eriksson Ek
Karlsson - Kruger - Nordström
Lundqvist, Klingberg

Hedman - Strålman
Brodin - Klingberg
OEL - Edler

Probably 1 D man among the 4 so 3 forwards.

So you take Rakell over Silfverberg? I would actually take them both over all other but Bäckström.

But how I see it play out we will get forwards from St Louis, Ottawa and Pittsburgh. A bit negative but realistic.

That gives:
Steen, Berglund, Pääjärvi, Stålberg and Hörnqvist. 3 out of 5 need to say yes. I do not know about that. On the positive note we get 4 D-men for one slot with this scenario.

Yeah, i would take Rakell and Steen over Silfverberg. Zibanejad would be good to have as a 2C, we can not trust Rask and Söderberg.

Pens have 3-1 against Capitals, the chance is not big for Capitals.
 
They won 1 and lost 1 in OT without Crosby. I'm pretty sure they will be able to squeeze out 1 win in 3 remaining games regardless of circumstances. Not to mention that he reportedly skated today meaning his concussion is mild and he might come back before series are over.

Also they have this Malkin guy who has been quietly dominant.

With the concussion protocols I say he is totally done for the series.

Well if PIT do win it is better for Sweden I don't mind, at least if we get any forwards out of WSH.

Did they run powerplay anf if so what kind of units? I cant find nothing from expressen:rant::)
 
Sweden really wants the gold this year :laugh:

Must be the strongest D lines we seen in many, many years at a IIHF tournament.

Whats even more scary is that they could have added Karlsson if Ottawa wasnt in the playoff and he wasnt injured (lol).

Our players where working hard and finished their checks, but infront of the nets we where way too soft. Netfront play is one of the most important ingredients in todays hockey.
 
I wonder if Nylander gets a shot at center soon, have to get him more involved in the games somehow.

Especially if Backstrom is not coming...could be an option.
 
I read that Nylander is playing with Karlsson and Soderberg?

Why?

He had more points than both of them combined... Almost double in fact. He should be on a scoring line. He had more points than any other forward on the team.

The idiot in charge of the team thinks Karlsson and Söderberg should be part of a scoring line.

I don't think people appreciate just how awful the people in charge of the Swedish national teams continue to be.

He is involved he has the puck all the time, except when he's giving it away almost every shift. Team player I don't think so.
