Yeah because Söderberg and his 14p really impresses huh. People want to watch young exciting players not washed up has beens like joel lundqvist and söderberg.

Soderberg had 48, 44 and 52 points respectively in the previous three seasons in the NHL. One bad season doesn't make one "washed up". Alex Nylander has done nothing at the highest level yet.

Heck, if you want AHL'ers on the team then Lucas Wallmark would be more deserving. It seems you only want Alex Nylander on the team because of the name on his jersey and his draft position.

Yeah, and if one give a glance at Avalanches team scoring list this season one will notice that there was something severely wrong in being in that setting this year. Maybe Söderberg can do a Eric Staal now, he is one year younger to boot. Solid playmaker. Strong as hell as well.

Yeah because Söderberg is a winner? Just contributed to one of the worst seasons in nhl.

As opposed to Alexander Nylander?

Let's see...

* He plays for the Rochester Americans, one of the worst teams in the AHL this season.

* On said team, he was outproduced by six other forwards. That's not including Derek Grant, who only played 23 games and had 19 points.

* Among the six forwards ahead of him, no one was worse than a -2. Nylander was a -24.

The talent is there though. Alex will improve, söderberg wont.

While Söderberg wont improve or become a better player than he has been in the past he might become his former self in a new setting with a chance to win something, stranger things have happened.

Why are they showing the Belarus game from Salt Lake City?....first thought after turning on the TV.

There is still a good chance for more NHL players for this roster.
If no more NHL players joins the team then this is a good line combination:

Gabriel Landeskog - Elias Lindholm - Linus Omark
Joakim Nordström - Victor Rask - André Petersson
Oskar Lindblom - Carl Söderberg - Richard Gynge
Dennis Everberg - Joel Lundqvist - Carl Klingberg

Anton Strålman - Victor Hedman
OEL - John Klingberg
Alexander Edler - Oscar Fantenberg

Agree or disagree?

We will probaly not get any players from the second round, but i do think we will get some more players from the first round.

Omark - Wennberg - Nylander
A.Petersson - Rask - Lindholm
Landeskog - Söderberg - Lindblom
Nordström - W.Karlsson - Everberg

Hedman - Strålman
OEL - Klingberg
Edler - Brodin

Lehner
Läck

Something like this perhaps.

That's the dream my friend, haha.

I would be surprised if we don't see anymore NHL reinforcements.
A lot of young Swedish players that will go in the first round soon.

Yeah but if no other C comes, would you agree on playing Elias Lindholm on C or is he better of on a wing?

x - Rask - Lindholm
Landeskog - Soderberg - x
x - Sundstrom - x
x - Lundqvist - x

That's how I would build it then, although I'm not a big follower of the SHL or the other European leagues, so maybe I'm missing a better center option.

We'd have to have some really bad luck to not get at least one more NHL center though. Wennberg, Karlsson and Kruger would all have to decline and Washington (Backstrom) and the Rangers (Zibanejad, Lindberg) would both have to advance to the next round. If we somehow don't get any of those centers, I'd even consider inviting Dennis Rasmussen.

I want Sundström too. But he's been struggling with injuries recently and didn't play that well in the playoffs (I watches every game).

But like you said, I would also be surprised if no more centers comes.
Then it's a no problem. That should also for sure put Lindholm on the wing.

I don't think there's any sense in splitting up Rask/Lindholm and Söderberg/Landeskog if this is what we end up with. I'd built line 1 & 2 around them.

But with some more centers in the mix I think there are some other options worth exploring.

Right now I'm hoping for:
Landeskog-Wennberg-Nylander
Söderberg-Rask-Lindholm
Omark-Karlsson-Lindblom
Nordström-Lundqvist-X
