Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Swedish newspaper has also said that Ovi will not come. If Mozyakin is out for good my pick will be Kutnetskov , Kaprizov and Orlov. I have been following the Caps this season and Orlov beeing good as always offensiv has been much better on the deffence playing much more simpel with less errors. He will be good for Russia.
I must say i love Provorov. He is young but boy does he play the game like a veteran with full control and he has the talent to slow the game down and control the play. You dont see that often from a young player like him. I understand why Philly fans sees him as a top NHL deffender in the future. If Russia could have 2 or 3 more players like him our deffence would give us the chance to bring Russia back on the top.
I like this team so far and Panarin is ...the best and now Kucherov is starting to come. From what i understand we have 2 days rest now and thats good

Provorov is a dream come true. Hopefully Rykov will become a kind of mini-Provorov in the future.

I don't know. Russian media claims that he's still a possibility, and he did say earlier that he'd be glad to come if he becomes available. I don't understand where the idea of him not coming arrived from. Did he say so? Where? Did the Caps say so? Who the hell cares?

It's just unverifiable hearsay at this point. Even the better NHL hockey insiders speculate and so do their sources.
Ovechkin never said anything on the record.

His hockey IQ for a 20 year old dman is extremely rare. He's not the highlight reel type player, but he's such a smart and talented dman that you feel so confident when he's on the ice. Once he hits his prime he'll be considered one of the best in the world at his position and will be a mainstay for Russia as their #1 for the next decade +.

Rykov's potential is Mironov, although he can't in hits and blockshots. Tryamkin is underrated, especially by himself. Sergachyov is a little bit more offensive-minded than Provorov in prejudice of defence. I believe he'll become something like Markov, just because they're teammates and Markov is going to be Montreal coach as I heard.
There are absolutely good young Russian D players.
And I think this was expected. I made a thread about the 1987-1990 generation in Russian forum. These are 26-30 year-olds. This is the generation that should be monopolizing NT roster spots. The fact that there are a couple of guys here and there speaks volumes as to how hard that generation was impacted by post Soviet financial struggles. No D out of this generation what so ever. Voynov, Kiselevich and Chudinov are the "stars" of this generation. Kinda difficult to field a strong D corps when your 26-30 year generation boasts this sort of quality.
And it's also pretty clear that Russia has rebounded from it well and the depth and quantity should continue to be strong with every passing year.
The 19-22 guys are better RIGHT NOW.

Great Russian Three: Panarin - Shipachyov - Dadonov + Mozyakin (was changed by Gusev after well-known circumstances) - Belov (they usually play 2-1-2 and rarely rebuilds to 1-3-1)
And 1-2 goals by the second line: Gusev - Namestnikov - Kucherov + Provorov - Plotnikov (1-3-1 with Plotnikov in the crease)
If Sergachyov becomes something like Markov i would say that is very promising

Now that there is a chance that Caps can move on (belive it when i see it ) Malkin could come and as mentioned here play with Mozyakin if he still can play...that would be amazing

I hope they'll give him a rest. It's time to test Sorokin. He should play with Slovakia and USA, Shestyorkin with Latvia

Ovechkin should just replace Mozyakins role.. Play limited minutes at full strength and pretty much the whole PP..
But nah, Znarok will break one of lines and ruin chemistry like he always does. At least this time Malkin isn't there to put him with Ovi.
