Jevpalovs' Barracuda advanced to Round 2.

Nobody is expecting Gudlevskis. We have a solid list of young NLA/KHL goaltenders that have been in the training camp for quite some time. Gudlevskis has proven to be rather unstable, so he is not the player to join the team mid-tournament and jump right in. I believe that, i.e., Merzlikins is overall a better goalie than Kristers.

Teodors Blugers is joining Team Latvia on May 4.

That means another cut will have to be made prior to the WC.
