beast mode engaged. Ducks may want to put Kessler on Draiser.

I'd just move on from all Oilers/Ducks players now. Allen Parayko and Schwartz would be the 3 players most likely to join in on the fun at this point.

The series has been a war. Still wowed by Draisaitl last night. Honestly, even if we get bounced I don't think our boy should head over MW. McDavid has played a lot of hockey from the WHC to WCH to 82 game season plus playoffs. He needs rest.

Mr writer. I disagree. I think he is playing very well. He is strong on the puck along the boards and can he skate. His presence is seen on the ice

Btw I'm extremely pleased with marner point and konecny... can't spell his name sorry

That's it? That's your measure of a #1 Big NHL 82 point center playing against weak competition (Belarus/Slovenia) is to be strong on the puck along the boards?
I set the bar a little higher, and zero goals and 1 assist in 3 games isn't going to cut it for me. He has to produce. He's been through this before, so, hopefully he's just pacing himself and saving it for the games that matter and allowing the junior line to do all the work early and bask in the glory. That goes for a few other vets as well. Duchene etc.

Very unlikely since he just had concussion. I think Canada might add D from St. Louis (Pietrangelo, Parayko). Possible forward additions could be McDavid, Jaden Schwartz, Brassard, Perry, Getzlaf.

Agree with you.

I vote for McDavid or Getzlaf or Schwartz and :):handclap::handclap::handclap:Hoffman

I find that Duchene has been fine. He's winning battles and using his speed. Just not directing enough play toward the net. Scheifele clearly has a lot more to give, though it isn't a big deal against competition of the recent level.

and hopefully the next team photo is at center ice in Cologne with gold medals.

Marco Scandella's brother is playing for Italy. You'd think that would be enough motivation for Marco to accept a HC invite and hang out at the WHC. I noticed that there was a Scandella playing the other day, but just sort of dismissed it as just a common Italian surname.

granted, they would be playing in separate cities/countries and unlikely to play each other...but still, the entire Montreal Scandella crew could be there.

Pretty surprised that Parayko decided to go. He looked pretty worn down in the Nashville series and didn't look like he was at the top of his game. Hopefully he plays well for Canada.

Glad to get Parayko. I doubt Crosby would come over. As to the Edmonton/Anaheim series I think Getzlaf or Perry would come over but not Mcdavid.

My guess:

Vlasic-Demers
Matheson-Parayko
De Haan-Barrie
Morrissey

1st pair should be matched against opponent top line

Good on Parayko to accept the invite. I don't expect him to be a difference maker (like Ellis last year) but it is good to get a young guy with potential like him some experience. I don't think he has played any tournaments on big ice before.

Anyone having idea who will be at net tomorrow Pickard or Johnson? Is Pickard first goalie when playoffs will start?
