Hopefully not, we're beating the Ducks tonight, I have a feeling McDavid is going to play lights out tonight :)

On another note, the youngins at this tournament have played well for us.

on my way home in about an hour to settle into my man cave with a few of my favorite adult beverages + a few snacks to watch.

hope he plays lights out. a game 7 would be sweet.

and yes, the junior line has been pretty good.

a few of the vets have been underwhelming...but still working out the bugs.

I will be having a few beverages myself, couple craft beers and maybe a steak in anticipation of tonight. Really hoping we force game 7. If we get bounced I'm turning my attention full time to the WHC and remainder of the CHL playoffs. The NHL is pissing me off right now.

MacKinnon and Barrie have looked good, I like this team. I think we need to add one more goalie and RHD. Liking the forward group.

Have to think that Hockey Canada is going to be in touch with some St. Louis players tomorrow. Parayko, Pietrangelo at least. Possibly Bouwmeester, but I hope not.

Watching the junior line I can't help but think of this past WJC. Senior players really struggle to keep up with Marner (really does seem like his playoff fade was temporary) and Konecny is no slouch there either. Canada vs USA with both teams featuring all eligible players would have been quite the spectacle.

St.Louis fans seem to think he is injured, I am not counting on him, long year with the WCH.

You guys are twisting them tonight with the panzer having a fantastic game.

Yeah, what a shame we couldn't have that, would have been a real doozy.

We're destroying them. Draisaitl has played unreal tonight holy ****. Sorry boys, doesn't look like McDavid will be joining the squad anytime soon. Hopefully we crush them in game 7.

beast mode engaged. Ducks may want to put Kessler on Draiser.

I'd just move on from all Oilers/Ducks players now. Allen Parayko and Schwartz would be the 3 players most likely to join in on the fun at this point.

How has Giroux looked? This could be a nice boost for him.

Looks slow but still pretty good. Smartest forward on Canada and is making decisive decisions. He is the fulcrum of one PP unit and is the brains of his effective line with Skinner and MacKinnon.

After watching most of the gameplay through three games, I will say that this team looks pretty good so far. It is unfortunate though that they will likely go through the first round with only two tests. Pickard has been good so far when challenged. The defence has been good overall with solid speed and puck movement, especially from Barrie and Matheson. Morrissey and De Haan have gotten caught in their own zone too often, but that will hopefully improve as the tournament goes on. Vlasic is playing simple defensive hockey, which is exactly what the team needs from him.

Among the forwards MacKinnon is really dominating. Low level of competition, but he is winning races and battles all over the ice and making smart, simply plays. It's good to see him without the Colorado stink on him. He won't keep scoring like he has been, but he is doing very well even on the little things. Marner might be the next best forward. His passing has been great, and he's been very effective with his stick defensively as well. It's too bad that Drouin isn't here, because I would love to see Drouin and Marner stealing puck together. Scheifele is a bit disappointing so far. He is being a bit too deliberate. I suspect that his play will improve and that his line will be more impactful and significant in the meaningful games, which is good as I expect that the junior line will struggle more at that point.

From that game it looks like Marner has been moved up to PP1, on a unit with Mackinnon, Scheifele, O'Reilly and Barrie.

Cooper really likes to ride the guys that are playing well. Noticed Mackinnon getting double shifted on the PP. Felt like Marner was on the ice a ton as well.

Even if Parakyo is 100% healthy, I would be very impressed if he came to the Worlds.

He played at the WCH, then 82 regular season games, + 2 rounds of playoffs and no rest.

Good for him if he goes, but I dont think anyone should hold it against him if hes burned out

Interesting Canada can add new goalie?
It s real?:)

How is scheifele looking?

not great overall. not doing much beyond a sporadic shift where he looks like he knows what he wants to do out there, and then sort of fades.

no alarm bells just yet, but a few more games and then I'll be worried.

Thanks for update. Ill watch next canada game and he will come alive and pot 3 points.

Is he not creating any chances either?

Mr writer. I disagree. I think he is playing very well. He is strong on the puck along the boards and can he skate. His presence is seen on the ice

Btw I'm extremely pleased with marner point and konecny... can't spell his name sorry
