Day off today, the Swiss tomorrow. Hopefully we'll have a better game vs. them than we did vs. France yesterday.

Good job, Hockey Canada. I question your competency at times, but Hockey Canada is always 1st. Class.

Who is the guy between Demers and Konecny in the second row? They had Mike Card filling in pre-tournament, but I assume he is gone and that doesn't look like him based on what I see on google.

Hockey Canada still can add new players?

They can, but they almost certainly won't.

I have no idea. I can't recognize anybody in the photo except for Parayko.

I bet you Marner sees this as a tryout for future Team Canada's. Babs may have gievn him a little 'wink win, nudge nude'.

What team Canada? With NHL not going to the OG and the WC dead, there won't be any international hockey for at least five years if you discount the World Jrs and the WHC.

He is out for the tournament because he got hurt wrestling with a teammate?

I am not sure I like the mental makeup of this team.

Its like something you'd hear from a Jr hockey tournament.

Boys will be boys. I cant stop laughing

:biglaugh:

Duchene benched for tomorrow's game because he broke a picture frame when the team was playing mini-sticks in the hallway.

Mackinnon given a stern talking to for ordering inappropriate material on his hotel room TV.

Skinner suspended by the team because he mixed up a crazy drink concoction with every item on the table when the team was out to dinner and bet that there was "no way" Marner would drink it. Marner is still puking and is questionable for tomorrow.

It might make sense for a team like Las Vegas (which may have a fair number of Russians) to give Lee a try. At worst he would probably be like MA Bergeron.

I wasn't able to watch the last game, which sounds like it was a good thing. I'm curious about the performances of three players: Johnson, Lee, Scheifele. Any reply appreciated.

He turns 37 before next season, so if someone signs him he'll be the oldest NHL rookie in 30 years and the 3rd oldest of all time.

I don't see why Vegas would be the team to sign him though, they'll have plenty of defenders to choose from in the expansion draft.

But it is hard to say if someone will be as much offensively talented as Chris Lee. He would be cheap, short-term and quality option for Las Vegas.

Every Canadian is OK for tomorrow game ???
No suspension ??

Hope so much because i am going to the game :popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

That's a good question. Doesn't look like Card to me, either.

The IIHF app lists 21 skaters for Canada but they still include Barrie, and there are 21 skaters on that picture but Barrie isn't on it as far as I can see, so that roster isn't helpful either. I have no idea who that is.

I doubt that a contending team is going to take a flyer on Lee. It's going to be a weak team I assume ad Las Vegas seems open to the KHL route.

Why did mcdavid turn down canada? Crosby never does

In almost the exact same situation, Crosby winning the Art Ross in his second season after representing Canada following his rookie season, Crosby refused. That was after only a first round elimination. He also could have gone and was invited in 2012, though it is understandable why he didn't.

I am surprised.
