WC: 2017 Team Canada - Part II

What the hell does that mean? I'd feel better if he'd have had no injury at all, but if there had been one, I'd prefer an injury that was unavoidable yes. Getting an injury by acting like a child and playing wrestling games does not make me feel better.
 
Yeah, that Barrie injury is something else. Absolutely no excuse for engaging in rough housing like that.
 
Those among us who haven't stabbed ourselves while play wrestling with our friends can cast the first stone.

Gotta be the weakest spearing major I've seen.

Don't get me wrong, skinner deserved a two minutes for picking at the puck after the whistle but... come on, if the isn't a homer call I don't know what is.

Are you serious? They don't need to grow up at all, they're in their early 20's....

Doubt Talbot would have gone even if there was a spot open for him. He's played more than any goalie this season. He deserves a rest and some time with his young family.

It might make sense for a team like Las Vegas (which may have a fair number of Russians) to give Lee a try. At worst he would probably be like MA Bergeron.

I wasn't able to watch the last game, which sounds like it was a good thing. I'm curious about the performances of three players: Johnson, Lee, Scheifele. Any reply appreciated.
 
I bet you Marner sees this as a tryout for future Team Canada's. Babs may have gievn him a little 'wink win, nudge nude'.
 
Just speculating, but my guess would be that Barrie was engaged in rather heavily intoxicated wrestling and fell on a broken bottle.

Taking their own time, not getting paid, and playing for their country. I could never be mad at anything like this, accidental or goofing around.
 
These guys are humans and 99.99999% of the time rough housing doesn't end in injury. People who are saying this is inexcusable are stiffs - this type of stuff happens all the time. Just a freak accident.
