In regards to this conversation about Lööke, you have to know that previous experience at this tournament is considered quite valuable. Very few returnees are cut, and Lööke just happens to have been here TWICE before. No team is cutting a double-returnee. Get over it.

Einar Emanuelsson has been the best player in Luleå the recent games and also plays in the same line as Isac Lundeström wonder why he didn't make it

Ulvvf: I didnt say that you were stupid. So you are lying. Is that the level you are at. I dont see any point discuss with you. I have already said my point. I think that Lööke will be very good with his, experience (Which is very importent in short tournament such as wjc) And he will be good in PK. And will make impact with his playing style. He plays with a lot of speed and energy, and is a good two way forward. He will also give the team energy while playing like he use to.

Bratt is a good offensive player, yes but you cant just have offensive players.

Any info on them lately? Cuts?

They've locked themselves up in a barn somewhere in Canada, complete radio silence. Cuts will be made around Christmas after the two exhibition games against the Slovaks and Russians.

Does anyone know the practice lines?

Well as of last night, Kylington and Nylander played in AHL games, so they haven't joined the camp yet.

Nylander will play in Rochester's AHL game on Monday and join camp afterwards based on their head coach's post-game from last night.

You are making it sound like Lööke is some kind of bruiser, which he obviously is not. It's not like we are leaving star players at home in favour of him and it's not like Lööke will play a big role anyways. Energy players like Erik Thorell & Joakim Nordström were two of our best forwards the year we won.

The irony is that if they would score a lot normally they would not have been count in that quota of energy players from the start. I have no problem with energy players, I love players like Rakell, I have problems with when people are forcing in low scoring energy players just for the sake of having low scoring energy players in the team, energy players can produce also.

Scoring deph is importent, it is importent to have offensive good players even in the 4th line. You can win without it, but it certainly make it easier if you have scoring deph. Just look at columbus, they have high scoring players like Hartnell and Gagner in the 4th line, they do not have any mega super star, but their scoring deph give them a edge. Replacing Gagner and Hartnell with some low scoring players would not make them better.

Star-player? It off course depends on where you draw the line, but Boqvist could be consider a star player, Davidsson and Bratt not that far off. But sure we still have a decent deph, but it could have been better.

Yes you did, but lets forget that. So again we do not have other players that offers that?

TV12 is HD for me

For me too. Two weeks ago I got an email from Bredbandsbolaget saying I now had Kanal 5 HD, Kanal 9 HD, Kanal 11 HD, TV12 HD, Eurosport 1, Eurosport 1 HD, Discovery Channel and Discovery Channel HD free of charge. Great timing.

What is the likely depth chart on D?

Could look something like this:

G.Carlsson - Larsson
Kylington - L. Carlsson
Moverare - Dahlin
Bernhardt - Gunnarsson

One of the bottom 4 will be cut, most likely Gunnarsson or Bernhardt.

Interesting. So confirmed by Swedes with knowledge, Dahlin > Liljegren,

I see Tre Kronor are LHS heavy. For Canada to overcome that we need relentless forecheck.

I have Tre Kronor as the most talented. However, 7 LHD can create problems. If Canada plays a relentless wave after wave heart and soul style Canadian way, we can punish the Swedish D.

I'm skeptical that they are taking the 16 year old. It would be a bold move, but I think they might just be bringing Dahlin in to camp for the experience. It'll be cool if he makes it though.

I just can't see a player like Gunnarsson make it over him, it would be really sad if it happened. He's behind Dahlin on Frölundas depth chart already. There were some good RHD's available so it's weird none of them were named to this team over Gunnarsson or Bernhardt. Dahlin's chances would be much lower if Liljegren & Lindgren had been selected instead of those two. He could very well be the last cut if he doesn't perform in these exhibition games though.

Have you seen the 16 year old play?

I have not, so I'm deferring to the Swedes on this board as to how good he is. My comment was more based on what I know to be the dynamics of hockey politics. Keep in mind he's not just the youngest guy in camp, but he's the youngest by a full year and a half!

Guessing there won't be a stream for tonights game?

Lines according to @69abris (posted centers and winger-pairs):

Ahl - Asplund - Dahlström
Grundström - Eriksson Ek - Lööke
Dahlén - Karlström - Davidsson
Pettersson - ? - Andersson
Olsson - Wingerli - Söderlund

Larsson - Gunnarsson
Moverare - Dahlin
Bernhardt - L. Carlsson

Gabriel Carlsson out for precautionary reasons. He would obviously be playing with Larsson. Kylington & Nylander will join later.

With that many youngsters playing on their off-side, Canada needs to be ruthless. Hit them hard and make them pay every shift.

I want physical violence from Canada.

Snipes...I know you like the Flyers prospects on D. Did you know Bernhardt is a Flyers pick too?

Hope he makes the team.

So the coach broke up the Pettersson-Andersson-Grundström line that absolutely killed it in the tournament in november, and played Pettersson and Andersson as wingers with Wingerli (at best 4th liner) as centre? I'm no coach or anything but that seems really odd.

Considering Ahl and Dahlström apparently played with Asplund and Karlström played with Dahlén and Davidsson, I'd say he was giving the on-the-bubble players larger roles to see how they'd look. Pettersson-Andersson-Grundström looked great in the four nations tournament, and Pettersson-Andersson-Nylander looked great at the U18s. I'd try both.
