I meant positive risks

Team Upside?

Rasmus Dahlin - Timothy Liljegren
Erik Brännström - Adam Boqvist
Oliver Kylington - Filip Westerlund
Jacob Larsson

I know. It's almost like they're more concerned with winning games than with showcasing kids.

Really dissapointed that Brännström Liljegren didnt make it typical Sweden cowardness not taking any risks

I did not have either of them as locks. Rögle hasn't given Liljegren much chance to prove himself after coming back from mono. Saw Brännström last U18 WC on small ice and he struggled, he looks so much better when he gets that extra time and space. Still a surprise neither of them made it.

So much bs from Monten, he start with saying he shall take out the hotest for the moment, then no Boqvist, M Davidsson or Bratt but instead Lööke(!). He take out Gunnarsson that was pretty bad in the last U20 tournament but no Brännström that was one of the best. I havnt seen Moverare this season, but based on last season it feels very weird.

They left out many talented players out of this squad that could have made a difference what a shame this is so typical Sweden grow some balls always choosing experience over talent

Couple of surprises. I don't mind Ahl and Dahlström over Bratt. Gunnarsson is the odd one to me. Haven't seen much of him, looking forward to seeing him in the exhibition games. Rough depth chart/way-too-early lines?

Elias Pettersson - Lias Andersson - Carl Grundström
Jonathan Dahlén - Rasmus Asplund - Alexander Nylander
Jens Lööke - Joel Eriksson Ek - Jonathan Davidsson
Tim Söderlund - Andreas Wingerli - Sebastian Olsson
Filip Ahl - Fredrik Karlström - John Dahlström

Jacob Larsson - Lucas Carlsson
Gabriel Carlsson - Oliver Kylington
David Bernhardt - Jacob Moverare
Kristoffer Gunnarsson - Rasmus Dahlin

Sandström
Gustavsson

(Werner)

Yeah then we wonder why we do not win. Why not for once just take out the best players.

I don't mind this team. Liljegren would have been a huge upgrade to the PP though.

I don't either. I would have liked to see Marcus Davidsson, because I'm a big fan of both him and his brother, but with the numbers Ahl and Dahlström have put up in the WHL, I don't think it's unreasonable to give them a chance to win a spot. I'd have looked hard at one or two of Liljegren, Jesper Lindgren and Gustav Bouramman, too.

Yeah, I would have liked to see both Davidsson brothers. Perhaps Ahl and Dahlström were just too good to be left off. Lindgren impressed me so much last 4-nations tournament, really surprised he was left off in favour of another LHD.

I think Tim Söderlund will turn some heads.

Agreed. He was far and away the player who impressed me most, relative to expecations, at the most recent tournament. Looking like a lefty Viktor Arvidsson.

Imo:

Pettersson - Lias - Grundström
Dahlén - Asplund - Nylander
Lööke - Eriksson Ek - Davidsson
Ahl - Karlström - Dahlström
Wingerli

Larsson - L.Carlsson
G. Carlsson - Kylington
Bernhardt - Moverare
Dahlin

Sandström
Gustavsson
Werner

Lööke, why?

It is a good team, everyone can not make it. Don't know about Lööke, Monten might have some special role in mind for him.

Lööke situation reminds of the one with Anton Karlsson. But Karlsson ended up having a good last tournament because of his experience and I think Lööke will be a good all-rounder for this team too. As far as potential neither player is up there but their mature playstyle has a role in this environment.

Can someone tell me a little about Kris Gunnarsson?

He should not be on this team instead of Liljegren.

Lööke, why?

He put up some points in allsvenskan this season and also the last season. When he was 17 years old he was regular in Brynäs. Experiance from 2 WJC (7 points in 14 games). Fast, gritty player. Not sure why everyone dislike him.

Lökke probably won't stand out in a good or bad way, he's just solid. I don't see how replacing him with someone else would make a big difference, it's not like he will be getting a huge role on this team.

Yeah a righthanden D wouldnt be bad, otherwise im ok with the team. Can this mean Nylander gets to play the full powersplay on the point? :sarcasm:

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know if/when Tre Kronor will change the goal song? I don't know if I can take another tournament with that horrible song by The Poodles.

It's amazing to think that someone actually approved that goal song in the first place. Nobody likes it.

Does the small player's NHL nowadays have something to do with the midgets from Shell Left E Ã… being picked? Or shall we be confident with all the talent they possess?

Can someone examplify their greatness? Not that I doubt it anyway but just for information? They did well in SEL?

A combined -4 in SEL (Yoda) they are! Do they own attacking forwards defensively?
