2017 Preseason Standings

Vancouver should be a train wreck this year, but if their stat lines are continued in the regular season it should at least lead to some entertaining barn burners.

Jets has won two last games, so no more 0-3-1 for Winnipeg.

As it's the weekend anyway I'm just thinking if it's worth it to ruin my good night sleep and wake up at 4 am local time when the Jets will slaughter the Flames to claim the oh so important pre-season championship! (Why does the real deal start so late in NHL?)

Wild finished up the pre-season at 5-2-0. The only two losses barely had an NHL player on the ice. Only 3 games had anything even resembling an NHL roster and that was the last 3, which the Wild won.

Shootout loss at Calgary ended Jets' preseason, so AFAIK Jets final record was 2-3-2.

Didn't watch the game, couldn't even, but I think Flames had a proper NHL lineup and Jets had also some 80-90% of their best lineup on ice.

Games start at 7pm local time during the week without too much varience. Which, for the rest of the world, is an absolute brutal schedule.

The weekend schedule is all over the place in an attempt to not overlap as many games. Early games start as early as 10am on the weekend, depending on the game slate.

I live in BC, which runs on PST. I'm currently posting at 4am local time for context. A Leafs home game will start at 4pm PST and a Canucks home game will start at 7pm PST. Typically the last game will start around 8-9pm PST on Friday/Saturday.

The main market is North America for the NHL, so based on that and the times I've included, does that better explain the timing of games for you Halberdier?

Sorry @Brockon, my post was not clear. About the "real deal starts so late" rant I was referring to the real NHL season starting so late date (when compared to eg. FEL & KHL), so just waiting for the real season start like kids are waiting for christmass.

For sure those games have to start at the most suitable local time for Winnipeg & other NHL home towns. I just did pick the wrong country to born in ;-)

The Flyers finished 3-2-3, with only 1 win by more than 1 goal and 1 loss by more than one goal.
