Could be insanely important because we needed that extra little spark to have just a bit more offence.

If there's bad luck the rest of the way he's the kind of guy who will be a game-breaker in relegation too.

Krog played a hell of a game against the Finns. I was working at the WJHC in the scouts lounge and heard quite a bit of discussion about Krog. He will get picked up by an NHL team for sure if he continues to play as good

He is only 1,75 meters tall, so he needs to grow a bit before that will happen. Unfortunately

In all honesty, I dont think they'll come close to Czech anytime soon.
Yes, Denmark had a good showing 2 years ago. But looking at the present and future, Czechs are starting to produce some really good players. And should be competing with the big countries again (pretty much already are).
For example, their current U-16 team is the most impressive ive ever seen.
Played the Swiss 3 times this year. Winning 7-1, 9-3, 8-1...
Also the U-18's won the Ivan Hlinka Gold this year...

With that being said though, I would love to see countries like Denmark and Latvia seriously compete with the big boys. Then have an expansion of the tournament with 2 more teams. That would really be fun. And maybe one day it will happen. So far so good. Both Denmark and Latvia are good teams this year.

I think Slovakia is the first target. It may be close this year with them and Latvia.

You were saying?? :)

So who from this team is likely to be drafted this year?

Seems like Rondbjerg is the most probable, but is there anyone else from Denmark who is seen has a certain pick?

I believe that d-man Oliver Gatz, will have a good chance to be picked as well. He is a late born 1998, and will be first time eligible like Røndbjerg.

If USA, Canada and Sweden will win in the quarters, is Denmark then to be placed no worse than 5? Of course that won't happen. We all know that Russia will be kicked out by the Danish lions ;-)

Niklas Andersson has really impressed me. How can he only have 6 points in the danish league?

Also True, From, Blichfeld, J.Røndbjerg, RT.Andersson have been very good. I think From, Blichfeld and Rondbjerg will play in NHL one day. True, N.Andersson and RT.Andersson will be good SHL players. The future looks bright for Denmark.

Thank you for the kind words!

Regarding Niklas Andersen; In the best Danish league each teams can have up to 8 imports, and most normally do, so the first two lines on most teams consists of imports. It makes it difficult for young players to get more than 4th line minutes and they hardly play special teams at all. Their (lack of) production should be seen in that context. I have not been paying special attention to Niklas Andersen in the Danish league this year, but I'm pretty sure that his production is a result of the above.

Also I believe that From and Jonas Røndbjerg have a good shot at reaching the NHL, but for the rest of the players you mention the limit will be the SHL I'm afraid, but that is certainly very good and nothing to be ashamed about. I would like to add a few players to your list though; also Nikolaj Krag Christensen and Oliver Gatz Nielsen should be able to get a very good career in hockey in my opinion.
