Could be better than most years considering how well the top guys have been doing in Sweden. Don't know how Blichfeld has been since he left.

Daniel Baastrup Andersen from Linköping and David Madsen from Växjö? Maybe wait another year?

Blichfeld have make 9 Points (3+6) in 10 games.

I also think its really important that Lasse Petersen gets more icetime becasue he is clearly the most skilled goalie, and right now he only has played 1 game in the WHL.
Dose anyone know why he have played so little?

I think Christian Wejse is a lock for the roster.

So who are the stars from that group?

Best depth team ever by Denmark in my opinion. No stars like Ehlers or Bjorkstrand however some upcoming kids like Rasmus T. Andersson and Mathias From who have both taken major leaps the last 12 months.

Mathias From, Nikolaj Krag-Christensen and Joachim Blichfeld all got drafted in lower rounds in the NHL draft 2016. Jonas Røndbjerg will most likely be drafted next summer.

Totally agree. Don't know if or when I've ever seen a Team Denmark that could legitimately bring two full forward lines game for game - going into the tourney.

Still, they'll be playing to simply repeat the results of recent years.

More is almost not realistic.

Yeah, I dont see us doing anything else than trying to avoid relegation the next two decades  As long as the small countries can make the gap to the big seven smaller mission is accomplished.

Whether or not Denmark remains in the group this year, staying up for two years is an accomplisment in it self, but we also have to be realistic; we will most likely be relegated at some point. What is interesting is that Denmark has had a good feeling with the Czechs on senior level. It could be fun if that also were the case on junior level.

In all honesty, I dont think they'll come close to Czech anytime soon.
Yes, Denmark had a good showing 2 years ago. But looking at the present and future, Czechs are starting to produce some really good players. And should be competing with the big countries again (pretty much already are).
For example, their current U-16 team is the most impressive ive ever seen.
Played the Swiss 3 times this year. Winning 7-1, 9-3, 8-1...
Also the U-18's won the Ivan Hlinka Gold this year...

With that being said though, I would love to see countries like Denmark and Latvia seriously compete with the big boys. Then have an expansion of the tournament with 2 more teams. That would really be fun. And maybe one day it will happen. So far so good. Both Denmark and Latvia are good teams this year.

I think Slovakia is the first target. It may be close this year with them and Latvia.

I wrote it because Denmark has beaten the Czechs in the last two WCH. I know that at the juniorlevel we probably are further behind, but I must also admit that I dont know anything about junior hockey in your country.

Just like last year, I suppose Switzerland is the main opponent for Denmark this year once again? Looking forward to seeing Denmark show their fighting spirit once again, I was at the arena watching it last year live, such an intense game.

Score some goals Christensen

(From is going to light it up)

I hope he will, he is injured at the moment, and it will be evaluated Dec. 22 if he can participate. He is our best forward so it will be very unfortunate if he cannot.

Update on Mathias From:
It seems like the injury to From is not as serious as they feared. Nothing is broken, it is "just" a severe sprained ankle, and he has been on ice the last couple of days. It seems like his injury is day-to-day, and that he will be able to skate with the team just before start of the tournament.

Update on roster:
2 players has been cut; Jakob Jessen and Kristoffer Søgaard both from Herning. They still need to cut another forward, but I suppose they want to be completely sure Mathias From can play before they make the last cut.

According to Danish media TV2, From will not participate in Denmarks first game against Sweden Dec. 26.
