It's bad but no way it should be 0:8, 0:5 and 0:4 bad. This team stinks. :help:

No way guys like Krenzelok, Hrdinka, Budik or Kvasnicka are better than Hajek... just none. Unless some miracle happens I am expecting Vaclav Varada to overtake the U20 team as a coach. Don't have the faith in Petr anymore...

Exactly, if it Krenželok better than Hajek, moreover, after his performance with Can, so I really do not know .. This just stinks.
Petr said that the obligation quarterfinals. No, now it's a goal that will not be easy to fulfill. In this team there is something wrong. And if you have some smartass again will interpret that everything is in order, I will send him straight to ...

Switzerland has a very well balanced lineup, a real good top 6, decent D as well. Overall I'd say that there's no major difference between your team and the Swiss in terms of talent.

If that is the case then there's something wrong with our team and it's probably the coaching as someone mentioned.

:laugh: there's no need to get so upset. It'll be like the good old days when we got thumped 10-1 by Sweden and our boys couldn't be bothered to back-check or skate.

It's got nothing to do with coaching, I'm just comparing players on paper. :) You would have an edge over the Swiss with Zacha, Lakatos and Kase in the lineup.

:)
It's hard when I saw the play, we knew that the results can be such. And yet here someone wrote as everything else and nothing happens .. Yes, I am afraid that unless radical change comes, we get a spanking, and we go home. Even afraid to advance to QF. Well nothing more to what one enjoys, it is worse. As we say, we Czechs-nasrat:smích:

They did not play as well as best strikers, but this is not about a few players. In any case amongst those teams should not be such differences.

I didn't see the games so I can't comment on Hajek cut, but it is definitely surprising. I think he's not living up to his expectations and his stats in WHL are also underwhelming. Very poor results in these 3 games, not even goal scored, that's definitely a big concern, but I think we will do much better against european countries. I am not sure whose idea it was to face 2x Canada and USA in preparation.

Still think that there's a chance to get Zacha for the tournament.

I don't usually let myself get bothered by pre-competition results. As I think I've shown. But questionable cuts? I can never hold in the anger...
You have to be kidding me with cutting Hajek... Over Krenzelok, Hrdinka, and Kalina? Is he well??? I think Petr needs serious help. This guy is a joke. NOW I am losing faith.

But again, like every year, we can't be too upset until the first real game right? So let's see.
But it's incredibly discouraging that a 2nd round draft pick gets cut over some terrible no names.
I was questioning him a while ago and someone corrected me. I think it's clear that the coaching sucks. And has sucked since the beginning.
With all our guys, our team is better then Finland and Easily Switzerland imo.
So there's no reason to have blowout losses like this.

AND like ive said before. Pre-competition is very misleading. Please do not forget this. I remember in 2008 or 2009, when Czechs were at there worst, they played Canada really well in pre-comp. it was a 3-2 final score.
But then when it came to the actual tournament, Canada won 8-1.

I am sorry but... who gives a **** if he's 2nd round pick or not? If he had terrible showing in these 3 games, then he probably deserved to be cut. It's very short tournament and you need to have players who are at the top of their forms and also 1 compact team.

I am sorry. But it does matter. There is a reason that he was drafted and not the other guys. I understand why you have that opinion. You see his stats this year. But according to some people, he has been really good despite his statistics. The Blades are a horrible team this year.

I watched the Canada game. There's seriously no way Krenzelok or Hrdinka were better. Not even close
Krenzelok was the worst Czech player actually

He is on a terrible team. Speaking of stats, look at Hrdinka or Krenzelok and tell me how they are having better season.

Doubt Zacha goes and even if he did, he would have much lesser impact than you would expect. He's overrated.

Krenzelok is Petr's boy. Just like Kurovsky. Both are from his team Vitkovice. Petr dissapointed me big time... more than likely he's gone after the tournament anyway though.

Hajek is overrated. Don't know about Hrdinka, but Krenzelok is at least playing against men in our top league, and it's not easy for our U20 players to stick in the top league because coaches rather play veterans.

I am convinced that Zacha could have huge impact this year.

//but I agree that Zacha shouldn't have been drafted that high.

All teams have their Zachas. This is a development tourney. I dont know why you guys rely on one guy. Lets just show us how it is all. We have two guys down, thats not that much. We still should be able to do smth. We can not be so tiny...

I hope they know reasons of that brutal results, no matter how unpleasent these reasons can be.... Thats not normal.

This is typical Czech mentality. You're entitled to it of course. And I appreciate it. But I cannot agree with it for 1 second. The Czech league sucks. Just because he plays there doesn't mean he's a better option then Hajek.
Seriously, Krenzelok was so bad on Wednesday. It's not even funny. He reminds me a lot like David Nemecek from a few years ago. He was Prerosts guy.. Big, physical, but slow as hell and minimal hockey IQ.
Go ahead and defend him. But Czech hockey should be past relying on s*** players like this.
I'll have a close eye on him against Finland. I'm sure he will be a liability. But hey, I LOVE to be proven wrong.

Looks like this team gonna suck big time. Hope they turn things around somehow.

No, I definitely don't have typical Czech mentality.

Just because Hajek plays in the WHL and was drafted in the 2nd round doesn't mean that he automatically should be there. it works both ways. ;)

anyway, merry christmas and lets hope that boys will do much better once the tournament starts :)

I am not saying that you are wrong, you watched the game so your opinion definitely weights more than mine, that's for sure, and as I said I didn't watch the games, just lookin on it from different perspective. We'll see.

Merry Christmas to you too! It is definitely good to look at it from different angles. I just know Hajek is a really good player. But even with out him, our defence is pretty good. Let's see what happens for sure.

Yeah, who is this guy? First time I heard of him was when I read the nomination. I haven't been able to follow our junior guys so closely recently but is he like that Helt guy? Come out of nowhere sort of thing?

me too, but unless they pull off 1st place in the group, they'll play CAN, USA or RUS in the quarters, which will result in like a 0-6

Definitely doesn't look good so far. But nonetheless, I'll be cheering hard. I think Kase, Spacek, and Chlapik will show up when it matters.
