Damn the FS Sports app is awful tonight after being great all series. I think on Fridays more people not home watching on their phones

You're making it sound like it was the craziest inning of baseball since the 7th inning twilight zone of the Jays v Rangers in 2015. An impressive catch followed by a pop up on a 3-1 count and a K after going up 0-2 in the count isn't exactly the thing of legend.

Anyway, Astros blow it open on a Bregman triple. Sanchez can't catch a ball... again

It wasn't crazy, it was just not an inning with the way those AB's were going that you expect no other baserunners besides the Judge HR.

Okay now this is an offense waking up. Now we'll see if a six-run lead is enough for Giles.

Girardi has been fairly strong since the Cleveland thing, but this game was an atrocity for him.

Sits there and watches Severino make it 3-0 after like 10 balls in 11 pitches, and then brings in Robertson to make it 7-1.

Robertson may be toast. He has looked off every appearance dating back to game 2 now. I'm not sure if its a funk or he simply is gassed. If its the latter the Yankees won't have much of a shot vs LA if they advance. Without Robertson Kahnle would have to pitch like Jesus

Good news for New York is that Verlander is a no-go for game 7.

Needless to say that trade has been worth it.

As far as starting sure, but I wouldn't put it past him to pull a Randy Johnson circa 2001 and have an inning in relief somehow. They're gonna need every inning they can get cause you can probably pick tomorrow's starter out of a hat too. I'd probably give it a try with McCullers but I wouldn't neccesarily be confident in him on short rest.

Can't say enough about Verlander though, he should be the unanimous ALCS MVP if Houston wins tomorrow.

lol Giles can't even make this inning drama-free. Him running up the pitch count is the only possible negative for Houston for Game 7 though I wouldn't really consider it a negative given the way he's pitched in the playoffs. The less Giles tomorrow, the better for the Astros.

The way he has looked he may not pitch tomorrow

Even if he came on in relief, Verlander looked pretty shot those last two innings.

Frazier just missed tying the game and that moron Sanchez bailed him out.

Not taking away from him pitching a great game but I'm not sure he's a slam dunk to get outs tomorrow.

Bullpen arms galore tomorrow night for sure.

Wait, someone actually brought up that Verlander could pitch tomorrow out of relief? Randy Johnson in Game 7 2001 WS is the only I can recall doing that.

I'd expect to see Keuchel tomorrow at some point for Houston. But I'd be shocked to see Verlander.

I'm pretty confident we get at least six out of CC, unless he just totally has a shit start.

You may have to given they burned Green today though I guess Gray would be the first guy available in the middle innings? That's not too calamitous.

If HOU wins game 7, Verlander is a mortal lock for ALCS MVP.

If NYY wins, barring an implosion, Sabathia would be the Yanks winner of that award.

Gray if CC sucks and it's really early.

Otherwise, straight to Kahnle.

The thing that's bothering me is we can't really trust Robertson at this point.

Well it's not like Morton was lights out last time out. I'm just saying Yankees winning doesn't equally a CC MVP

Sure, if CC is just ok, and the Yankees win 4-3 or something, then I could definitely see it going to someone else.

If CC gives up 5 or 6, this series is over.

Hmm not sure what to make of game 7. On one hand, I'm pretty confident with CC, but the Astros offense looks lethal once again.
