Adam Bokvist is really good. Kinda makes me wonder if he is better than Brännström at the same age. Already matched his production (3g, 0a) 2 games into the tourney.

So Russia beat Finland 2-0 without Svechnikov and Khovanov. And no news it seems why they were scratched.

Cze 4:5 Can Black

Czech goalie let in some trash goals, including the GWG and imo should have been pulled after the 1st period, but I guess they want to keep the other goalie fresh. Expecting Dostal to play the next two games (group game, quaterfinals)

Czech team is playing well so far though, no outstanding individuals, but great team effort.

Really good to hear man. Ive been wanting to watch but havent been able to since im at work during the games. Unfortunate to hear about that goaltending.. because if they had won that game, then they'd be in a really good position heading into the last game. Lets hope they can beat white. But going by the scores and statistics, they have nothing to be ashamed of obviously. Love how they are competitive.

How has Zabransky looked? And who is the best offensive player you think so far?

Just wanted to comment on Wise. Didn't do much in the 3rd but he had a solid first two periods. There was a play in the 1st where he got a pass in the neutral zone and sped through two canadian defenders and nearly created a scoring chance. He was buzzing in the first 40 I thought. Farabee is the most under rated player on this group imo. Made a post in the other thread comparing him to Will Lockwood two years ago in this tournament. I think Wilde might play up with the U18's come tournament time in April, he's looking that good. By far the best defensemen for the States tonight. I like Emberson's defensive game as well, watch him close next game as he is a solid dfensive d man.

From the Canadian teams, I think a lot of the players have been playing up to their level, Dellandrea has been good, fast, strong, physical, and smart, Dunkley, Stotts, Focht, Noel, Nielsen, Daley have been impressive. Looked good like the U17 camp in the summer. Element, Bernard, Robertson have looked better than I expected. Ty Smith and Calen Addison are the top 2 coming from the Dub for 2018. Luke Zazula and Jett Woo are close, but Zazula is still a little too short and Woo isn't as dynamic as the others IMO.

I'd say Boqvist is a more talented and a more dynamic offensive player than Brännström but way less polished.

Someone here wrote that he could do Zábranský nomination U20 .. I do not think Zábranský already has a category U20, not dominate, so that they could be nominated for the WCH. Everything has a time, we have plenty of defenders who are performance from him. U18? Maybe.
For the best attack is very fierce Lauko, a team mainly decorate militancy.

Beat Canada White 8:2... pretty impressive. :handclap: I just love the effort those guys put into each game. They jump into every shot, aggresive forecheck. They need to work on those PP situations though... our PPs were mostly very weak.

Solid, but nothing outstanding. Dajcar has been the best defenseman.
No forward has that wow effect Necas had last year, but Lauko and Gajarsky have been good. Lauko had 3+2 in the 8:2 game, looked really good out there. On the other hand Blumel has been underwhelming so far, he has by far the best numbers in Czech U18 league, but he has been invisible most of the time.

Agree.

Kvasnica didn't play today, hopefully it isn't anything serious.

In fact, Kvasnica for me, the biggest disappointment, very bad move, little militancy. Why not play I do not know, but according to my coach saw it the same way. I'm not sure, probably not even played the second half of the last match against Canada Black

Wise has a goal.

Playing really good hockey, but I haven't watched the whole game.

He just made a play in his defensive zone, relieved pressure, and skated nearly the whole length of the ice for a scoring chance.

Also just called for a penalty, although I don't think it was really a penalty. Looked like he beat a defender on the forecheck, and the defender got bailed out by the refs.
