Ryan Merkley is so good wow. So smooth

His ability to dissect through defenses and to thread a pass out of trouble and under pressure is impressive especially on the breakout.

He has that ''Doughty'' like feel to him with the puck on his stick.

Defensively with his frame he's got ways to go but quite a player.

Each time he was on the ice in the third he created, something always happened with him leading the charge.

Kid looks extremely impressive.

For sure. He can really rush the puck and has some good hands too. The 2018 draft will be interesting. Looks like it will be a battle between Dahlin and Merkley for top d-man, although there's a lot of other good d-men in that draft too. This tournament will be a great opportunity to get an idea of how they all stack up against each other.

The coach needs to get Dellandrea some more ice time. He is a goal scorer, particularly in tight with deflections and rebounds. He should have been out there instead of Noel in the last minute IMO.

I hardly even noticed BOG. That needs to change.

Riley Stotts looks like a nice player

He's grown a little bit since the draft. He's bigger than he was with the Jr Canadians and hopefully he can add another inch or two and some more muscle. But he's never going to overpower opponents in the defensive end, and that's ok. His smarts are off the chart and he always seems to be a steps or two ahead of the play. He can rely on that to always be in good position and with his stick handling and skating abilities, he will have the puck more often than not. He has an Erik Karlsson type upside IMO.

Alright, who are some of the guys to watch on Canada Black and Canada White?

McIsaac, Woo, Smith, MacDonald, Addison? Who else? Dudas? McShane? Thomas? I guess Foote is someone to keep an eye on, but 2019 eligible so very far away.

Carson Focht is a very complete player. Houde and Tychonick are also very fun to watch.

Both D cores are just stacked.

Owen Lalonde was #2 pick in the OHL draft, he's a good skating, two-way defenceman with good size. Burzan is pretty talented, was named to YOG Canadian roster. Popowich is an interesting player, big size, good IQ, but needs to work on skating. McBain is someone I've heard good things about, big, skates well, good hockey sense and shot, Craig Button had him as a top 3 player for 2018.

I like the '00 group, deep group of kids from all countries. But from Canada some will drop off some will rise.

Groulx is on team white I believe. Was the first overall pick the last Q draft.

3-3 between Sweden and Russia after three periods. Denisenko had a nice goal (on the PK, I think), where he beat a defender on the outside and drove to the net.

I like what I'm seeing from Samuel Fagemo for Team Sweden. He's a beautiful skater. Boqvist looks good too, two goals from him this game, he seems very adept at finishing plays.

denisenko and somewhat khovanov tried to do something useful on the ice for russia, the rest were abysmal. sweden was a better team out there.
would like to point out the broadcast quality. just disgusting. i'm sure even angola would have organized it better.

The games from this arena has pretty poor quality indeed. But most of the games will be played in the other arena where the quality is much better, so it's not a huge issue really.
