Lines this morning:

Orlov - Zaitsev, Ovechkin - Datsyuk - Tarasenko, Shipachev
Markov - Emelin, Kulemin - Malkin - Panarin
Kulikov - Marczenko, Kucherov - Kuznetsov - Namestnikov
Nesterov, Telegin - Anisimov - Dadonov

PP:
Markov - Ovechkin, Kucherov - Kuznetsov - Tarasenko
Orlov - Malkin, Dadonov - Panarin - Kulemin

PK:
Nesterov - Emelin, Telegin - Anisimov
Kulikov - Marczenko, Namestnikov - Shipachev

apparently Datsyuk did not finish the practice, but no word on injury at this time.

If Datsyuk is out, we're in trouble. :(

Those lines itself look interesting though.

And yes, once again, we need Malkin to wake up asap.

Lets hope Datsyuk is healthy, would be a big loss without him.

I like how Znarok sees that there is something wrong with the Malkin line. I dont like that he keeps rotating the wrong winger. Kulemin has yet to do anything positive, he should be rotated out, not Kucherov.

Kulemin, Malkin and Kucherov were very good together. They drove play and suppressed shots. It's a mistake to break them up imo. Malkin's line has been the best for Russia in the tournament. Against Sweden his line dominated the puck. Malkin is gonna start scoring goals but his work in all zones has been Russia's best among forwards. He's had some turnovers but without the puck has been tremendous defensively. He doesn't get anywhere near enough credit for that.

Help me out
If NA wins today against Sweden are we out ? If Sweden wins a we beat Finland i guess we are in the semi ?

(like the new lines )

No, Russia can still get in no matter the result of this game.

It's just if Sweden wins, it would be easier.

If NA wins, then goal differential becomes a factor and currently it doesn't favor Russia. There would probably need to be a blowout in either game.

I should mention OT scenarios.

If NA beats Sweden in OT, Russia would just need to win.

If Sweden wins in OT, then even an OT loss to Finns would be enough

Thanks guys :)
I guess we know later today what will be the scenario tomorow.
I dont know but something tells me that we will get it all together if we reach the semi....

We need 2p against Finland tomorrow, doesn´t matter if it is regulation or overtime.
Simple as that.

Even though I was hoping for a way to finish #1 in the group, I think it is better that they simply just focuse on winning tomorrow rather than thinking about all the goals they need to score, which could lead to some stress.
We can still hope Europe gets a shoot out win against Canada :)

this is the perfect path for gold.

We beat two arch rivals to get in the final and then beat whoever we meet there in 2 games.

The main thing is that we can beat Canada once, but no way we win twice.

A dream scenario, but you are, actually, right. In one single game we can beat Canada (if we are EXTREMELY lucky), but in two out of three - no way.

Team Finland isn't the strongest team in the World of Hockey, but it is the most difficult for Russia. If we win team Finland, it means Russia strong enough to beat team Canada in semi-final.

Not sure of your logic there but OK...

I cheer for russia tonight, I do not want the joke team to make it. Finland has nothing to play for, that could however benifit them as well, since they have nothing lose either, while for russia everything is on the line. I wouldnt be surprise if the refs are on the finns side today.

Don't think this version of TC is as good as some seem to think. We lost Keith (biggest loss ), Seguin, Benn and Carter. Marchand was involved in a viscious collision last nite, wouldn't be surprised if he's out with a concussion. Didn't like snub of Hall and inclusion of a 37 flippin year old Thornton with that logjam of natural centers already...

Russia beat YG's already...and they're not exactly chopped liver...Single game elimination, or best of 3, this TC is ripe for the picking imo.

I root for the team with the best chance to beat Canada. Not sure which though?

Would be amazing with a final that didn't include Canada. :)
