Will toffoli get time on PP1? It's nuts to me he scored 30+ goals last year with 0 PPG. Thoughts on his performance in 16-17?

Toffoli had most PPG 9 of all the Kings players last season. I think he will give a go for most points in all the Kings players next season.

That would be nice, as long as Kopitar gets his 70+ (had 74 in 15-16) and Carter gets his 60+ (had 62 in 15-16), then Toffoli jumping from 58 to 70+ would be huge.

I dont think he has hit his peak and he will get some of Lucic playing time so somewhere around 19min per game and well...his contract is up so. He was only 16pts behind Kopitar.

Gravel-Trotman made me chuckle. Scuderi, multiple Cup champion, Greene, multiple Cup champion who blocked a shot with his face-both healthy scratched or sent down by Sutter? Replaced by 2 kids? Sutter is really going to have that conversation?

Well i put defenceman on their "value" more than where they actually play. I think Gravel will be top 7 D in next year line up.
Scuderi is done and Greene has issues to stay healthy and was all but signature away from the team. Like someone said if Gravel and Forbort cant outplay Scuderi their not going to play in this league.

Greene`s value is zero any other team than Kings, he cleared waivers allready, 2 years 2,5min per year for a defenceman that played 3 games last year. We have "new" Greene in Gilbert in term that he is veteran, totally different type of player but why sign him if you think Greene is going to make the team for sure?

Who cares what theyve done in the past. You cant live in the past . The present is what matters . Our management better wake up and realize that . Scuderi nor Greene can keep up the play anymore . Gravel and Trotman will be better suited for us

If Lombardi and Sutter didn't want them around why are they both on the team?

That first line looks as soft as baby **** to me. Not sure that I'd pencil Purcell into the first line winger role yet, may as well go with Brown, their stat lines for the last few years are quit similar, except Brown achieved his totals on an ultra defensive team and Purcell got his on mainly Tampa and Edmonton.

Strong core with a whole lot of meh

Yup.

If this were NHL Hitz we would be dominant.

As for the lineup, I just don't see the Kings starting Brown on a scoring line, Brown just isn't a top 6 forward anymore. I think Purcell is with Kopitar and Gaborik and hopefully Brown can be a decent third liner with King and Shore or Lewis.

Man, it's hard to look at this roster and knowing this team won the cup not even three years ago. This is nothing close to a contending team. The Kings have to be near the bottom in the entire NHL as far as #4-#7 d-man and the entire bottom six and even more worrisome than the lack of talent is the lack of upside. Gravel may be the only bottom three defenseman or bottom six forward who could project to be more than that down the road. And our farm system is putrid.

I think we are in the black hole right now, not good enough to contend not bad enough to tank, this will be a very interesting year.

if AT LEAST 3 of the following 4Ds (McNabb, Greene, Scuderi, Gilbert) are in our lineup on opening night, it will be a long season FOR YOU ALL, unless you guys block me, because i will bring so much negativity to every GDT it won't be funny

i can only tolerate 2 garbage Ds, not 3... not 4

you guys are warned

Muzzin - Doughty
Gravel - Martinez
McNabb - Trotman
Gilbert
Forbort

ideally

or if we must, put a weak player with a strong and we get the dreaded McNabb on the first line situation

McNabb - Doughty
Muzzin - Gilbert
Gravel - Martinez
Trotman
Forbort

but just please keep Scuderi & Greene awayyyyyyy

no i agree with the mayors lineup

Gaborik-Kopitar-Purcell
Pearson-Carter toffoli
Mersch-Lewis-Brown
Clifford/ Dowd/Shore/AA

McNabb-DD
Muzzin-Martinez
Gravel-Gilbert

What happened to King? ;)

Also, I'm not sold on Pearson/Carter/Toffoli. That line just makes too much sense. It might be better to saddle one of Pearson/Toffoli with Brown to keep their numbers/contract demands down. :naughty:

In general, I like this. I do, however, believe that Shore might start the season with Ontario..... Mersch, too.

Gaborik / Kopitar / Purcell
Pearson / Carter / Toffoli
King / Lewis / Brown
Clifford / Dowd /AA

As for the D, your guess is as good as mine.....

We will lose Shore if he goes down

Any lineup with Lewis as a center, no matter what line, is a failure. RW on a defensive line and SH play is fine.

Really? You don't believe? How about this, then?

I agree we have 2 "rookies" that are actually better winning faceoffs so i dont think we see Lewis as center. Only if they suck...
