Clode won't separate Marchand and Bergeron.

Marchand-Bergeron-Acciari
Beleskey-Krejci-Pastrnak
Vatrano-Backes-Czarnik
Blidh-Moore-Hayes

Chara-Carlo
Krug-McQuaid
Liles-Colin

Acciari plays the Connolly role.
Backes anchors his own line.
Nash gets platooned into the sun.
Long live Jimmy.
Spooner gets dealt.

Acciari is hte only choice worse than Nash and Hayes for that spot.

So with Backes out for a while, will there be any call ups? Can't roll that bottom 6 for an extended period of time and expect wins.

Saying Acciari is playing the Connolly role is an insult to Brett Connolly. Brett Connolly has more talent in his left-pinky than Acciari has in his entire body.

Surely there is a better option than an NHL forward with zero goals in 37 career games to go on the Bergeron line.

Heck, if they aren't comfortable with one of the Providence left-shot guys (Heinen, Cehlarik, or Debrusk) playing the right-side of 63/37, shift Vatrano to the right side and put him there or move Vatrano to the right of Backes and move Czarnik to the Bergeron line.

I feel like this forward group is so close to busting out...

Bergeron is finally starting to look like himself again.

Krejci has looked really good of late, and really, his numbers after the first 9 games are close to his career average.

Vatrano has given this team a little boost in the finishing department. Hopefully he can keep it up.

Spooner has chemistry with Vatrano and is playing his best hockey of the season.

Czarnik continues to develop and contribute.

Marchand & Pasta, while suddenly cold, still generate some outstanding close-in chances every game. They're a threat every time they're on the ice.

When Backes comes back that gives you 8 legit top9 forwards. It feels like they're one forward away from making this whole thing really start to hum. Like there's going to be a tipping point where that one last guy, even if it's just a 2nd/3rd line tweener who can pot 20, is going to come in and give all three lines the balance they need to really be able to start scoring by committee.

Czarnik looked his best with Vatrano... It's like this team needs 2 Vatrano's. Is Beleskey that guy?

Czarnik and Vatrano have always had chemistry dating back to last year in Providence. I'd like to see them on the same line together, but with the Backes injury, Vatrano will see time with Krejci.

With current injuries

Marchand -- Bergeron -- Pasta

Spooner -- Krejci -- Vatrano

Schaller -- Czarnik -- Nash

Blidh -- Moore -- Acciari

Fully Healthy

Marchand -- Bergeron -- Pasta

Spooner -- Krejci -- Backes

Beleskey -- Czarnik -- Vatrano

Schaller/Blidh -- Moore -- Acciari/Blidh

Marchand Bergeron Backes
Spooner Krecji Pasta
Vatrano czarnik Belesky (it's his off wing but it doesn't matter)
Blidh Moore Schaller/Nash

Love to see this for a few games, spooner and Pasta have chemistry as we know, Krecji will have a shooter.

I'll catch flack for Vatrano being in bottom 6 but I think it's important he doesn't see top defenders night in night out, plus hoping Belesky can give him some room with his physical game and maybe get himself some garbage goals off some rebounds.

IMO team still needs a legit top 6 winger brought in. Then either spoons or Backes can move to third line centre. It will give Claude some options anyhow.

This makes the most sense to me, although Jimmy Hayes and Riley Nash are **more likely** to play than Acciari.

I'm liking that forward group, but there is one thing lost here on Czarnik in the middle.

He is terrible on face-offs at the NHL level. He's Ryan Spooner bad at them. Sure he can improve but I'm talking about today.

I'd like to find a way to get Backes on his RW for his face-off experience. I DO NOT want Riley Nash in this line-up for that singular purpose.

But any line-up that removes as many of the "2-1-Zero goal Club" (Nash, Hayes, and Acciari) as possible I fully-support.

If Spooner Krejci and Vatrank click, having Backes on the 3rd line would be huge.

We'd actually be able to roll out 3 solid lines and not be manhandled by a soft 3Rd line.

I agree. It would be big

Backes can still earn his salary by playing on the PP

Now that everyone up front is back, and Blidh has been demoted, this is what I would like to see.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Belesky - Krejci - Vatrano
Spooner - Nash - Backes
Schaller - Moore - Czarnik

As for the D, your guess is as good as mine.

Rather see

Belesky - Krejci - Vatrano
Spooner - Backes - Czarnik
Schaller - Moore - Nash

Also depends how beleskey looks, pre-injury he wasnt 2nd line material.

I'm going to go off the board here as I think this team needs a durastic change and is way to much of a one line team and easy to play against rift now. Also theirs players on this team that need a lift no more so then DK so here it is

Vatrano Bergeron Pasta
Marchand Krecji backes
belesky spooner Schaller
nash Moore czarnik

It's time for a change up front and as much as Bergeron and Marchand have great chemistry you just can't win with one line in the NHL these days. That being said some help needs to be brought in for the top 6. What I would love near hear end is

Landeskog Krecji Pasta
Marchand Bergeron Backes
Belesky spooner schaller/new talent
Schaller Moore czarnik/nash

On one hand I agree.

Problem being Backes has apparently said he isn't comfortable in the Bruins defensive zone system playing center. Jack/Brick repeated the quote during the Hawks/B's game.

And I promoted Backes as a center for months. But right now if he said he isn't comfortable there probably not a good idea to play him there. You could argue that Spooner-Backes-Czarnik line was the biggest reason they collapsed to the Wings.

Belesky wasn't good pre-injury. Problem being, there is a stark contrast between his production with Krejci vs. without. I don't see how you can get the most out of Belesky without pairing him with Krejci. I just don't.

If he plays like last year it will be fine, hopefully he gets up to speed soon. If he falters give krejci pasta and vatrano and let them run wild in the o-zone and move czarnik to bergys wing.

Vatrano- Krejci - Pasta
