New Thread and the way Vatrano looked last night kind of wonder if he moves up to the second line.
Clode won't separate Marchand and Bergeron.
Marchand-Bergeron-Acciari
Beleskey-Krejci-Pastrnak
Vatrano-Backes-Czarnik
Blidh-Moore-Hayes
Chara-Carlo
Krug-McQuaid
Liles-Colin
Acciari plays the Connolly role.
Backes anchors his own line.
Nash gets platooned into the sun.
Long live Jimmy.
Spooner gets dealt.
Fully Healthy
Marchand -- Bergeron -- Pasta
Spooner -- Krejci -- Backes
Beleskey -- Czarnik -- Vatrano
Schaller/Blidh -- Moore -- Acciari/Blidh
Czarnik and Vatrano have always had chemistry dating back to last year in Providence. I'd like to see them on the same line together, but with the Backes injury, Vatrano will see time with Krejci.
With current injuries
Marchand -- Bergeron -- Pasta
Spooner -- Krejci -- Vatrano
Schaller -- Czarnik -- Nash
Blidh -- Moore -- Acciari
Fully Healthy
Marchand -- Bergeron -- Pasta
Spooner -- Krejci -- Backes
Beleskey -- Czarnik -- Vatrano
Schaller/Blidh -- Moore -- Acciari/Blidh
If Spooner Krejci and Vatrank click, having Backes on the 3rd line would be huge.
We'd actually be able to roll out 3 solid lines and not be manhandled by a soft 3Rd line.
Belesky Backes Czar
Now that everyone up front is back, and Blidh has been demoted, this is what I would like to see.
Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Belesky - Krejci - Vatrano
Spooner - Nash - Backes
Schaller - Moore - Czarnik
As for the D, your guess is as good as mine.
Rather see
Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Belesky - Krejci - Vatrano
Spooner - Backes - Czarnik
Schaller - Moore - Nash
Also depends how beleskey looks, pre-injury he wasnt 2nd line material.
On one hand I agree.
Problem being Backes has apparently said he isn't comfortable in the Bruins defensive zone system playing center. Jack/Brick repeated the quote during the Hawks/B's game.
And I promoted Backes as a center for months. But right now if he said he isn't comfortable there probably not a good idea to play him there. You could argue that Spooner-Backes-Czarnik line was the biggest reason they collapsed to the Wings.
Belesky wasn't good pre-injury. Problem being, there is a stark contrast between his production with Krejci vs. without. I don't see how you can get the most out of Belesky without pairing him with Krejci. I just don't.
I would love to see this. Season is most likely already ruined but at least this would be fun to watch63-37-72
