Really cool video, looks like 6 games for today. Including Eisbären Berlin, Hc Davos, EV Zug, and Frölunda all playing

Agree. Cool vid. Predictions?
As for Frölunda; they played Färjestad and the norwegain national team last week. Won both. If that is any indication of where they are at the moment I'd say Wolfsburg need to keep it tight to get any points tonight.

Yea it's looking like Frölunda could have another strong year. Will check out Berlin vs Luleå aswell.

Hellova good game. So fun to watch. A lot of battling, physicality, lots of chances for both sides. Tune in to this one if you haven't already

Zug is absolutely hammering Esbjerg. 1-6 now. No fun night for the Danes.

Edit: Whup! And there's a goal for the Danes. Or no? Up for review.

FBK has taken it to Krakow in the second period and that's now 4-1. I probably will flip channels to Frölunda rather than leave on the third and see what Olofsson's up to since this game seems to be under FBK's control. I already caught the Asplund goal there, so my Sabres prospect bases are covered.

Frölunda not looking good, what's wrong?
The germans are putting up a good fight. Battling hard and a bit more aggressive than Frölunda. I'd say Frölundas main issue is the PP. I suspect they'll have plenty of opportunities to sort that out, though.

Frölunda looked a bit sloppy in what I saw, but managed to gain the lead and held on .. Wellman scored from low left circle; Olofsson deflected in a Donovan slap pass .. at least two good chances for Wolfsburg to tie it late in the third .. Grundström missed a sitter to seal it into an empty net, Stefan-esque.

There's plenty to work on for Frölunda. But its the first game of the season and they edged out a win so I'm satisfied. And the new guys got off to a good start as well.

I'm very satisfied with what I've seen so far as a whole for this years CHL. This tourney is getting better and better. Teams are very much playing to win, the fans are in to it and it has a much more professional feel to it.

It seems that the Swiss teams kept their promise ... to take the CHL more seriously.

The only win that was hard battled was Lugano against Adler Manheim. And actually they lost 0-2 the first period (firs game of the year ... like most teams) and played catch-up the rest of the game. and won 3-2.
But so far 6 games, 6 wins and most were in a dominant way. That is a big difference in comparison of last year where it started like a massacre. And most Swiss teams lost their first games.

We will see how the coming games will unfold. We haven't met Finish or Swedish teams though !

Cracovia - Farjestad Karlstad 1:5

Attendance: 6 209 people.

Hope in the future the group stages will look similar to this

Group A

Växjö Lakers
Davos
Kärpät

Group B

Frölunda
Hifk
SC Bern

Group C

SAIK
Tappara
Slavia Prague

Etc etc

It would be much more fun. Let the smaller teams have their own group where only the best go through
