Having to add that Bern is probably individually on diff. level. Some of these foreigners have exceptional numbers....So Sparta's play is pretty much understandable...
I have been complaing all the time about why we shooting from that bad angles and now 2:1)
i wish i had the same problem. Maybe in 1 hour ?
Lakers makes it 2-2

What is counted? Away goals or you have to win?
You have to win. If the score remains 2-2 there will be OT. 3-3 in aggregate.
So common lets go, not sure f I want another swiss team.but both teams have something to payback to Sparta so we will see![]()
3-2 to Växjö on the PP. Can't believe that Swiss player. Went for a headshot at this stage of the game. You should never go for a headshot, of coarse, but in the Pague - Bern game the game was already lost, at least.
Sparta - Växjö, then. Thoughts? Great comeback by Växjö. But that last penalty by Zürich was astoundingly idiotic.
Vaxjo is obviously better than in last couple years? You can expect har working hockey from us. We dont have so many individualities so we rely on hard team work. Hard to predict it. Vaxjo seemed to me as one of easier swedish opponents in CHL in last years but this is obviously different story.

Heh
We had a pretty good squad the first year of CHL, but you guys screwed us over in the group stage![]()
Congratz to Sparta and the Lakers!
That were some fine games to watch. Great Comeback by Växjö. Zürich generally got the routine and quality to sustain once they are ahead. I was pretty optimistic after the 1st Period.
It would be really a shame if the CHL had no future. It might has to go on for a couple of years before some nice rivalries can be established among the various fan-groups, but the on-ice quality is already there.
And yeah, Bern has a long history of playing a rather tough style. Even if they haven't got someone like Yves Sarault anymore, and physically they had been stronger before, they still got pests like Rüfenacht or Scherwey who has quite a history of sending out borderline checks to opponents in vulnerable positions. Zürich on the other hand isn't a particular tough or goonish team, they play more of a skill game.
In general the swiss hockey style is a patchwork of different hockey cultures. Hockey has long tradition in Switzerland itself. Then in the 80's John Sletvoll put hockey on a pro-level with his "grande Lugano". And then there were waves of Czech, Russian, Swedish or Finnish coaches and its styles and before, in between and after all those waves there were a lot of Nordamericans. Right now Northern Europe is the newest trend. They all left there footprints.
