It's a shame they can't spread out the matches to multiple days so you could pay more attention to different teams, like say Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday.

Domestic league schedule, national team breaks and all that stuff obviously has to be factored in.

Strong showing by Frölunda, leading 6-1 away vs Eisbären in the third period.

Somewhat entertaining games all except for the Linköping-HIFK. That style where the puck position team just returns back behind their own goal with the puck if theres no passing lanes just kills the game at least for me...Another thing is that frigging trap hockey...

The crowd in Bern didn't realize this was only the first half :D Thats like celebrating a win after one and a half period

The crowd in Bern nevre stops ... they are reletless ... unless they loses 5-0 ;-)

It is a wall ... Bern Arena is 16'000 and some people ... unevenly shared ... on one side you have the sitting places and on the other, like 11'000 standing places were the fans stand ... it's a wall.

For a hockey fan who is on holidays in Switzerland ... it is a MUST EXPERIENCE.

The temple of hockey.

Holy ****!

Im sure the fans are cute and all but c'mon you cant call that the temple of hockey when the team is barely in the top 100 of all the hockey clubs in the world.

top 100 ? you mean 30 NHL teams, 30 KHL, then it is among the Euro teams we see. I am convinced they may be better than some KHL teams. Difficult to rate them ... and obviously they had some bad years in a row ... but i would definitely put them in the 3rd quartile of the top 100. Barely would not be the appropriate word. IMO. But it is a matter of appreciation so all opinions are welcome :)

Besides i refer to the temple of hockey in the sense of the heat, the passion, the atmosphere. It is spectacular.

And to call fans cute ... is a bit diminishing ... i don't know if they deserve that. You may have chosen your words a bit clumsily ... i am convinced you meant it well :)

As per today's game, JYP was fast and impressive in the first period. Bern woke up in the second .. and recovered from a 0-2 loss to a 3-2 win. . the game in a week will be interesting ... i am looking forward for it. Bern was lucky ... they made so many gifts. Hopefully it won't be like that next week. Or they are dead.

The fact that Linköping were missing five players (four of which are top offensive forwards) probably didn't help either.

I was in there and even as a fan of the opposing team loosing the final, you have to be impressed by the noise in there. Even if the SCB isn't a a top hockey club in the world, the arena and the ambiance in there is something special.

Coming from a fan of Fribourg (the deadly enemy of Bern, THE hockey derby in Switzerland, both cities are at 30 km and speak a different language to add on the rivalry ... maybe with Kloten-ZSC), it means something.

Even if not in top 600, they are the most attended club outside NHL for more than decade, which is amazing if you look at ratio of fans per game and inhabitants city of Bern has.

The attendance is about 16'000 per game (95% of the capacity) for a city of 130'000 inhabitants. That's a lot.

To put this into perspective: The greater metropolitan area around Bern has some 400k inhabitants, the Canton of Bern about 1M. However, within a radius of 50km, there are three other teams in the top Swiss league and two more from the second-tier league. So yes, their attendance level - and the consistency over the last decade - is truly impressive. Their noise level, however, isn't (given I am a fan of one of these other teams :D ).

Sweden has some decent fans aswell. Unfortunately you guys won't get to see it in the CHL. No team can show of with 16 000 game after game though :handclap:
