Kessel's cap hit only worries me because i think they'll have to give up Pouliot to get him and the Pens will desperately need good, cheap defensemen to counteract how much salary would be tied up in Crosby/Malkin/Kessel/Letang. He doesn't make too much money, considering he's easily a top 5 winger in the league, but the Pens have more needs than just adding a top 6 winger and he'd complicate the process of fulfilling those needs. Not saying it wouldn't be worth it.

still have Dumoulin and Harrington to step in this year. And Sundqvist, Rust and Wilson at forward. We also have Andersen cheap, and probably Plotnikov for cheap.

Kessel is a major shakeup. He adds an entirely new level to our offense. We wouldn't be relying on two players every night.
