So Donetsk won Kraków by two votes in the IIHF congress this weekend and will host the Division I World Championship next year. I would like to congratulate the victor but considering the political situation in Eastern Ukraine this decision is totally impossible to understand. What on earth are they thinking?

A lot can happen in a year but if it is like it is right now then, it'll probably move.

They might rebuild it, but the point is that they need more than one arena anyway, so the second has to be built....

Donetsk is going to need to rebuild their airport, the stadium, the entire city and run out a rebel army in 12 months.

One 5-thnder, enough for a championship?

They began building 12-thnder, but it remains to be seen if/when it will be finished under the circumstances..

Edit: it's split with the Ned, so 1 is definitely enough

Aside the name, the Division I groups A and B don't have much to do with each other.
