some notables:...24 Saturday Games, 16 back to backs (that's low compared to most years), 3 Sunday games [at normal times].

10 games in October: we're mostly on the road
(6 potential playoff teams, Habs twice, Penguins twice, Rangers Once)

14 game in November: mostly split road and and at home
we knock out Dallas early, Red wings again,we don't see Boston until the 21st but that's our home at home (Sunday/Monday though). we see McDavid 30th Nov. (this is not the start of the CDN road trip though)

12 Games in December: more road games
western-ish road trip through Winnpeg/Minny/St Louis.

12 Games in January: I'm going to call this our hellish month
Blues, Ducks, Kings, Sharks, Hawks, Bruins, Flyers, Habs.

13 in February: evenish split home/away
western canada home swing. Hawks again, Habs again... some rangers...

16 games in March: Biggest Home Stand

Season ends April 9th, and we finish... over the Devils? (on the Road)
that should be a great end to the season
last week is Wings, Panthers, Jackets, Flyers then the Devils

Well we take care of 'Babcock going back home' in Game #2 which is nice.

Edit: Also 6 of the back-to-backs are Fri-Sat, most of which are in the first month and a half of the season.

I think this schedule is pretty good from the looks of it so far.

The fact that there's a 6 day break in between our 3rd and 4th game I think will give Babcock a chance get some good coaching done. Both players and management will be able to analyze how the first 3 games went and have the time to implement the necessary changes.

The teams we're playing aren't too tough for the first few months either.

This will probably be our toughest stretch:

sun, 27 dec 2015 @islanders
tue, 29 dec 2015 vs. islanders
wed, 30 dec 2015 @penguins
sat, 2 jan 2016 vs. blues
wed, 6 jan 2016 @ ducks
thu, 7 jan 2016 @ kings
sat, 9 jan 2016 @ sharks
wed, 13 jan 2016 vs. blue jackets
fri, 15 jan 2016 vs. blackhawks

Those three away games in 4 days against the ducks, kings and sharks will be tough. No one better be partying too hard on New Years Eve this year.

Does anyone know when single game tickets go on sale to the general public? November 30th the Oilers are in town. Would love to drive down from Ottawa with the old man to see McDavid play :yo:

Be much easier to get tickets to see him in Ottawa.

I'm disappointed that their game against Tampa Bay on December 15th is in Toronto. During that month I will be in Orlando and if the game was down in Tampa I would have driven there to see it. I did that back in December 2007 when they played them down there and I got excited for a second when I saw they were playing them on that day, only to realize the game was in Toronto.

Going on the road this year.

Watch the Leafs get spanked in Pittsburgh Oct 17 followed by the Steelers demolishing the Cardinals on the 18th. Hopefully play 18 at Oakmont.

Have a great road trip, I disagree with the prediction in bold.

That season finale against Jersey could be big in the tank wars. :naughty:

Zajac will win the final face-off for the Leafs and score the winner against his former team ensuring Toronto finishes 2nd worst in the NHL. Edmonton wins the lottery for a 2nd straight year and drafts Matthews.
