According to eliteprospects, Mitch Holmberg (Utica) has signed with Székesfehérvár II of the MOL Liga.

Székesfehérvár II competes in the obscure Hungarian championship. It also serves as a farm to Székesfehérvár, an Hungary-based team which plays in the Austrian League.

This is probably not the career path Holmberg envisioned when he led the WHL in goals (62) and in points (118) in 2013-2014.

Manchester, N.H. – The Manchester Monarchs, ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced the signings of Derek Arnold and Tony Turgeon for the 2015-16 season.

Turgeon split time between the Allen Americans and Cincinnati Cyclones, while also skating in the American Hockey League with the San Antonio Rampage, totaling 26 games between the three teams.

Just some housecleaning on the second post:

Adirondack Flames F Mathieu Tousignant had signed a 1-year contract with Ravensburg Towerstars (Germany-2) back on August 21st.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers F Dyson Stevenson had signed a 1-year contract with the Allen Americans (ECHL) also back on August 21st.

Providence Bruins D Frankie Simonelli is believed to have re-signed with the team for the 2015-16 season.

Toronto Marlies F Brady Vail will be attending the Toronto Maple Leafs rookie camp on a tryout basis.

Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the IceCaps have signed defenceman Travis Brown to a one-year, two-way American Hockey League contract for the 2015-16 season.

Chosen by the Chicago Blackhawks with the 149th overall selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, the six-foot-two, 200-pound blueliner spilt the past four seasons between the Moose Jaw Warriors and Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League (WHL).

I'm still baffled that he didn't get an NHL deal. He had 18 goals last season in the WHL AS A DEFENCEMAN!

Michael Kirkpatrick was actually the first player ever signed by the St. John's Ice Caps when they joined the AHL in 2011. However, despite signing a two-year contract, Kirkpatrick never played any games with the Newfoundland team.

Etienne Marcoux, who briefly played for the ECHL teams of Utah and Rapid City in 2014-2015 while under contract with Norfolk, will likely play in the CIS this season.

The potential recruitment of the 6', 167 pound Marcoux, who is also 21 years old and comes from Laval, Quebec, is a little less official and more of a strong rumour at this point. A quick glance at his Twitter profile shows his current status as "Varsity Reds #93 UNB" with his current location listed as Fredericton, NB. He has also been spotted around campus over the past week so it appears that there is a very good probability that he will be suiting up for the V-Reds for the upcoming season.

Marcoux also put together a strong QMJHL career, playing sparingly his first two seasons with the Montreal Juniors before seeing the bulk of the playing time his last three years once moving on to the Armada. His best season came in 2012-2013 when he led the league in GAA (2.14) and save percentage (.913) while being named a 2nd Team All-Star.

No confirmation of a signing, but Chris McKelvie attending an official Albany Devils promo event would indicate he may be still in the team's plans.

We can confirm special appearances by Chris McKelvie, Rod Pelley and Paul Thompson at the Movie in the Park #UnitedInRed

The following link from August 20th does not mention which players are attending, it just confirms that this is an official team event and not just a few players acting on their own.
