Has anyone bought tickets for the finals yet? I have to admit that I am a little shocked by the prices you have pay. If I am correct you have to pay about 500,- € for the two games. I haven't attended a World Cup for years and I am not really familiar with the prices.

Tickets

i was just wondering if there are any group game bundles you can buy such as every preliminary round game in one city or a ticket for each game for one country?
Or do you have to buy them separately?
Not wondering for this years WC but hopefully for the future.

The IIHF doesn't set any rule regarding ticket packages, it's all up to the organiser. No way to know before the official announcement.

When can we expect tickets to be released for the WC in Praha and where would I get ahold of them?

All packages that includes Czech Republic games were sold out in 5 hours (the one with CZE-CAN was sold out in 20 minutes). I'm not sure if they sold as many as they could or kept a specific number to be put on sale in February, but even in this case you would need to be very lucky to get one. The Sazka tickets website puts you in a queue when you try to login, which keeps the server load acceptable, but you need to be among the lucky ones who get in before it's too late. Packages were put on sale at 8, and when my turn came (at 10.30) CZE-CAN was already sold out (I didn't look at CZE-SWE, but it probably didn't take long to sell out). I still could get tickets for CZE-FRA.

If you're want to see the 2nd game of the package, I guess that many people were only interested in the Czech game and will be selling the other ticket, so if you show up at the arena one hour before game time you should be able to get one.

How long before the tournament that tickets are usually sold?

As soon as the schedule is set, I guess.

btw, the Czechs are really repeating the mistake by the Swedes. The prices for this year are absurd. Do they realize the amount of world's greatest beer you can buy in Prague for that money? I'm definitely not going to pay for those tickets.

Prices are similar to what was offered in Slovakia back in 2011 with the added bonus of some very cheap games, certainly not 2012 level (at least if you're comparing straight value, of course things are very different if you compare it to the average income).

Not at all similar to Slovakia. GMG best seats were 250 Euro. Worst seats in Prague will be 413 Euro by today's rate. So check your facts. Even the round robin games I'd want to see are expensive. It's not a money thing. I just don't want to pay them that, because it's just greedy and disrespectful to the fans.

My facts are fine, thank you. Category 1 tickets were 55 euros back in 2011, roughly 1500 CZK at the current exchange rate, which is similar to what most games cost this year with some cheaper ones thrown in (you can even see Canada or Sweden for 270 CZK). One game being more expensive doesn't make the tournament less accessible.

But once again, this is all from the point of view of a foreign visitor. For local people, 2011 and 2015 aren't much better than 2012 and 2013.

I don't want to go to every game in the tournament. The games I wanted to see aren't cheap by any means. And the one game is the GMG. That's the game that matters, gives that's the price that matters. 400 Euro for bad seats is a joke. That insults my intelligence. Do they think I'm going to pay anything they ask? I don't care if they give away tickets for the GER-LAT game. I don't want to be there.

Does anyone know the exact date for release of single tickets? I know it's in Feb but would like to know what day...I'm after the Swe lat and Cze can games. Those are to only ones I didn't managed to get on the package release...

I'm missing tickets for the can czh game. We will perhaps try to buy them from someone outside the arena. Does anyone know if there's a big chance there will be *******s there to sell fake or duplicate tickets?

We might just watch the game at a bar or whatever....does anyone know where all the popular sportbars are located?

Just check the hologram on the ticket, I doubt your average scalper will go through the trouble of faking that. If someone sells you a print at home ticket, just request that they be there when you get in.

ok. Thanks.

Does anyone know if there will be special spots for the fans? What bars to go to to see the games that are already sold out? So pumped! Only two weeks to go!

I just bought some tickets and all i got to say is any european that *****es about prices of tickets needs to look at the prices for these games, Been to the worlds before but paid twice as much as I did last time

Lucky ********...would be interesting to hear what are the prices for various games, just to compare, or all pre-eliminatory games cost the same?

The most expensive preliminary tickets went for about $50 (All Czech games for example, but they were gone in minutes, re-sell value is anywhere between $150-$500 depending on the game), you could get tickets as cheap as $10 (the likes for France-Austria).

I paid $25 for my lower bowl Canada - Latvia ticket.

i wanted to go next week maybe for a quarter final ...200€ ticket...nope

The games you want to see will cost you the right arm and the left leg(compared to previous WCs even the ones in Finland and Sweden). Cheapest seat for the final game 500 Euro. I'm not paying it. I prefer spending it on the best beer in the world in a good pivnice in Prague. And that's a lot of beer!

And you might want to look at what the average salary is in some of these countries.

Given that the ticket prices for preliminary games aren't cheap except for those few 10 euro games and the SF and final games are downright expensive.
