USA decided to fill their roster up with players such as Andy Miele prior to the Jackets getting eliminated.

That being said, there is only roster space for one more USA skater and two goalies after Danny DeKeyser and Justin Abdelkader accepted their invitations yesterday.

So one of Atkinson or Dubi would be my guess if anyone from CBJ goes. The defense looks set.

Agreed, on both parts.

It's the World Championships ... of guys whose teams aren't in the playoffs, who feel like getting in some extra hockey. There should be an asterisk or something. If it isn't the best in the world, it isn't the World Championships.

They went with a really young group, so I doubt they got invited. Plus, Foligno has some injury to heal anyway.

Frankly, I don't know why established NHL players go play in this tournament. It is probably the most irrelevant of the international tournaments, especially in an Olympic year.

I always thought of it as guys that are trying to get on the olympic radar, they go to the WCs to play for their team and help get noticed...
