Trade Staal and Hagelin for Max Pac, trade Brassard for a young d, sign Stastny to reunite him with his Olympic linemate, top 6 of

Kreider-Stepan-Nash

Boom!:sarcasm:

Why trade Dorsett? Cap relief? Resign Stralman and Moore? There's got to be a reason they made the trade, I doubt they felt like they needed the 85th OA pick

Definitely cap relief. Probably caught wind of the cap coming in lower than expected, and shipped DD out. Easy move for them to make.

I still don't see Stralman re-upping here, unfortunate as that is.

Couple of guys in here a little overpaid, which will account for the necessary space to handle a veteran 13th forward. Grabovski probably underpaid here considering the market. Weaver overpaid.

Despite the fact that this will surely be nowhere near the opening night roster, these are still fun to toy with

I think Sather has a couple of tricks up his sleeve. I just hope that none of them are Stastny.

Overall, I think this roster has some pretty good depth. I'm falling more and more in love with that fourth line every time I look at it.

Weaver a good stopgap for McIlrath. He'll come here on a two year deal. If McIlrath (or anyone) proves he's ready earlier, Weaver and Klein are both very easily tradeable with their contracts and their play.

Also not a lot of turnover. Nine of the forwards and five of the defensemen were all on the team last season. I'm not in love with Grabo, but I know he's popular around these parts. Guys a possession freak.

Asking for a ton from Fast in that spot. We will definitely need players on ELC's and cheap contracts to step up next season.

Diaz in a top 4 spot? :help: I don't see that happening. Bottom 6 would be a maybe, but not top 4.

If we can make it through this season, the cap will be going up and MSL's money will be off the books next year. I'd consider moving Nash depending upon how this season is going. That $7.8 would be huge. But if Nash was to be moved, I want a good, young C coming back+.

Why have we not even contacted Moore? We just traded Dorsett and are definitely going to lose Boyle!. COME ON that is our whole 4th line.

The only offer I've heard we have even made yet is for Stralman. when defense is the strength of this team already.
