First sighting of Dave Snuggerud's kid!
MN Prospects writes:
The University of Nebraska-Omaha recruit is a quality prospect with a bright future. Snuggerud plays a sound two-way game as he makes his defensive play a priority but has the ability to effectively join the rush when needed. With that being said, Snuggerud has the whereabouts to know when to retreat as he is rarely caught out of position. Competes every shift as he’s a character player that takes pride on doing all the little things right.

Snuggerud possesses good hands which allow him to distribute the puck quickly and efficiently. His hands also give him the capability to collect loose pucks from around his own goal area and clear them out of danger. Overall Snuggerud is a solid player that skates well, has decent size, and makes smart decisions with and without the puck. Like most players Snuggerud will have to continue to add strength in order to be successful at the next levels.

I'm withholding guessing on whether any of the top centers in this draft are going to be worth it, but I do think we need the top winger in one of the next two drafts.

Ekblad not on the list?
The preliminary CSS list isn't out yet. Instead, I used Chris Dilks' of Western College Hockey Blog for the time being and he only included prospects he's viewed. I also noted that I'll update the table whenever the list is published to NHL.com.

you will know alot more about these guys progession after the Ivan Hlinka. Right now it's too early as alot of these guys were rookies who had very incomplete games.

an example is a guy like Eric Cornell from Peterborough, he has all the tools to become a top 15 pick this year maybe even higher if he puts it together.

Sam Reinharts' skating is a pretty big concern for me, I can't see him becoming a elite center unless he gets some explosiveness. His hands, leadership and hockey IQ are top notch. He is the type of player that will captain a team at a young age. Reminds me of Sean Monahan in his draft year, or Sean Couturier.

William Nylander has all the tools to be a legit top 3 pick, his hands are probably the best in the draft at this point, he is very fast, but is rather small at 5.10, he is also a younger player in the draft and has room to grow, his dad was 6.01 so maybe he can get around there.

Anyone got a scouting report on him? every report I read are all over the place and end up contradicting one another

You can find U18 games of him online, along with Reinhart, McKeown, Bennett etc..

I am really going to try to make a solid effort to keep up on futures.

That being said. Does anyone have a list of the picks we currently have? Or is it just the one extra 2nd rounder we have from the Kings in 2014?

I believe its just the extra 2nd but that will likely change in the vanek/miller deals

Next year we have 3 2nds: LA's, Minnesota's, and our own. No extra 1sts (yet). Don't have our 4th (to Minnesota in Pominville trade).

Thanks guys.

That's very nice already though! Anymore future trades where we are selling and we will be top 5 even top 3 in talent pool. Gives Darcy a lot of ammo to get better quicker by moving up for high end talent. :sarcasm::naughty:

Now that we are pretty deep in prospects I think we need to use those 2nds to move up in the draft for say two high end prospects rather than 5 good prospects

Woodhouse, it is Sam Bennett and Spencer Watson. The first names were interchanged.

It is going to be a fun year in Kingston.:)
