The biggest joke was in round 2 two years ago, reps were GIVING AWAY free tickets they couldn't sell outside the garden. How times have changed

Did this really happen?! After almost winning the Presidents Trophy? I wish I was working in NYC then.

Coming off the high from our Game 7 victory, combined with the Adrenaline rush of battling for tickets on Ticketmaster, I made a little bit of a mistake and bought tickets that i really had no business spending money on.

I bought single tickets for MSG, Home Games 2 & 3, (series Game 4 & 6).

The ticket for Home Game 2 (series game 4) is Row 14 of Section 107

The ticket for Home Game 3 (series Game 6) is Row 1 of section 106.


What do you guys think are the odds of me re-selling? Is anyone interested in buying?

What is the face value of those seats?

I got my tix in 335 for $100 a piece on Craigslist, and thought it was a great deal. I still do, but a bunch of you said they reached $60 or so on stubhub.


Also, kinda pissed because when we were outside MSG, people working for the Rangers were asking people if they had tickets. If you said no, they were giving them away. I've never seen them just give tickets away outside the garden.

The Washington series 2 years ago didn't grab any momentum until Gaborik scored in Overtime in Washington. Game 1 was very strange because the Rangers came off a big game 7 win against Ottawa and two days later were playing Washington. I think the short break was tough for STH because of the advance planning that many need to go to games. I remember STH on this board trying to dump tickets to game 1 for face value and having a tough time. Games 5 and 7 were the exact opposite.

I wouldn't say it's impossible that you'll be able to get face, depends on how the first few games go I would think. Put it on SH for a little below whatever the lowest in your category(I'm assuming that these are delta club seats so club platinum), and hope that you get a little lucky.
Edit: the 107 one is club gold. That ones going to be trickier...

Not too familiar with how the resale in the lower bowl, especially the pricier sections, go but I could definitely see you making money on the Delta Club seats since it has the club access, is row 1 right behind the bench, and is a possible Eastern Conference winner. The club gold tickets for game 4 though you may take a hit on.

That game was like feast or famine. I posted my extras before I went to sleep after the Rangers beat Ottawa and when I woke up the next morning they sold for a decent price while a friend of mine waited until the next morning and was sucking wind. The old Ticketexchange was much better except for the fact like you said that they wouldn't let you post games in advance.

Just as GG said, Ticketmaster and MSG are releasing a few seats at various times throughout the day. I picked up 2 Lowers for Game 4 and a single in 413 for Game 6. So if you're looking to go, you should periodically check TM and hopefully you'll score on some good seats!

Were live in New England and I'm thinking of taking my son to Sunday's game v. Montreal. My question: Are the upper levels of the 400 sections (row 4 and higher) truly obstructed? Are there parts of the ice you can't see? If so, what's the highest row in the 400 level that are good seats, without obstructions.

Yep. One thing that does help now is they have see through glass in the first row of the 400's where the bar used to be so the obstruction of the goal closest to you in the higher rows isn't as bad anymore.
