Was taking a look at past drafts, and found the following stat lines for the top 10 picks from the 2011 draft:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins C Red Deer Rebels [WHL] 959 271 477 748 334 2024-25
Gabriel Landeskog L Kitchener Rangers [OHL] 738 248 323 571 601 2021-22
Jonathan Huberdeau L Saint John Sea Dogs [QMJHL] 912 253 529 782 460 2024-25
Adam Larsson D Skelleftea AIK [SEL] 930 52 189 241 535 2024-25
Ryan Strome C Niagara IceDogs [OHL] 864 166 314 480 611 2024-25
Mika Zibanejad C Djurgardens IF Stockholm [SEL] 930 314 426 740 257 2024-25
Mark Scheifele C Barrie Colts [OHL] 879 336 468 804 421 2024-25
Sean Couturier C Drummondville Voltigeurs [QMJHL] 874 206 337 543 347 2024-25
Dougie Hamilton D Niagara IceDogs [OHL] 835 151 350 501 524 2024-25
Jonas Brodin D Farjestads BK Karlstad [SEL] 853 58 202 260 262 2024-25

Looks like every top ten pick will have a chance to hit 1000 games. The only one I'd be concerned about would be Landeskog, however he did come back to play some playoff games this year and looked good.

I tried going back through all of the drafts post 1990 and didnt find any where the top 10 picks all played 1000 games.

Could this be the first year? If so, maybe we underrate the 2011 draft a bit in overall impacts.

Easier to use something like this rather than whatever format you tried OP

Big ? here is likely Landeskog as barring injury the others should make it to 1k mark

Makes sense, given the NCAA has risen dramatically over the last decade.
True. But with the NCAA guys come out later so getting to 1000 games reached means playing a couple years more into their 30’s and those are high cost for teams.

most of the college guys would have been USHL/NTDP picks anyhow. Recently it's changed where top guys will go to the NCAA level a year early to up the competition level (Celebrini, Hagens) but prior to that guys taken from the NCAA as a first year draft eligible were not as common (Toews, Kessel) - in fact from the 06 draft where Toews and Kessel went top 5 there were a grand total of 2 NCAA players taken in the first round at all (Colin White, Jamie Oleksiak) for the next decade until the 2015 draft where you had Hanifin and Eichel out of BC and BU respectively.

While no one here achieved superstar type status, that group is full of really solid players. RNH and Huberdeau have put together incredible single seasons. Landeskog was pretty much the model of consistency his entire career until the injuries caught up to him. Zibanejad and Scheifele have regularly flirted in the 40 goal, 80 point range. Couturier was a regular Selke candidate for years with a couple 70 point seasons under his belt. Larsson and Brodin both are extremely solid defenders even if their offensive game never materialized at the NHL level. Hamilton absolutely had some Norris caliber seasons and his production is incredibly impressive from the blueline.

Strome is really the only average player that came from that group I'd say. But some teams came out with a solid foundation here.

Anaheim did rather well: Rakell, Karlsson, Gibson and Manson.
Calgary stealing Gaudreau in the 4th round.
Florida landing Huberdeau and Trocheck.
Tampa knocked it out of the park with Kucherov in the 2nd, Namestnikov in the 1st (even if he didn't really pan out there), and Palat in the 7th.
Scheifele and Lowry for Winnipeg.

Landeskog would need just over 3 seasons of 82 games to hit 1000, its possible but not going to be easy given his recent health issues.
Couturier has term on his deal but had back issues. Basically needs 2 more years at just under 70 games per season. Those are the 2 questions, with Landy being the biggest one with his knee. The other 8 should get there.
