Teams started building in that direction and they did it better than us (AV)We look slow. We have more skill now but I miss the team speed we had the season we lost to the Kings. Teams kept no gap control. They retreated because we could beat them down the ice.
In the end two things are ultimately at fault:You think Suzuki would look any better here? There is a common denominator at play unfortunately.
The kids are playing. But they’re kids.
Montreal is even worse than we are at developing forwards. He would put up 100 points for them. This organisation doesn't now how to develop kids into stars.
I'm also in da 904
It's not like these early games don't matter but some of you guys really need to f***ing chill and give it 10-15 games, at least. I know there's the panic of "this looks just like last year" but the changes aren't going to happen overnight.
Or don't, and f***ing panic. Whichever.
We seemed to have a several breakaways every game and the stretch passes were fun. Not much of that now.Teams started building in that direction and they did it better than us (AV)

the same montreal who just let a 3rd OA go for a 1st and 2nd and drafted one of the worst ES players in the league at 3OA in 2012 and traded a future top pair D for a 40 point middle 6 center who’s been a big disappointment as a 3OA?He would put up 100 points for them. Bad goal from defense to goaltending, but a bigger issue is how lackluster every minute before that was. You get blown out opening night, come back for a home opener, and look equally incompetent. It's hard to understand.
After all, it's written in stone that a real legitimate rebuild MUST TAKE AT LEAST 10 Years. In the end two things are ultimately at fault:
1) the decision to do a half-assed rebuild
2) terrible talent development
it feels like our team is the only one where the kids struggle to score
