No. We were facing back then Gretzky, Messier, Robitaille, Leetch, Graves, Tikkanen etc etc. We had no chance with Mellanby, Fitzgerald, Sheppard, Svehla as our best players. And we did 75% of our goals on pp, so not even close comparison.

They should try, but dump and chase isn't their game, they want to enter the zone with speed and possession, our neutral zone play negated most of that in game 1.
